Help choosing floor tile for small powder room
Comments (6)Even though I love the way the hex tile looks, with kids and durability being an issue, I'd pick a larger scale rectified tile (I think that's what it's called), meant for tiny little grout lines. I'd pick a medium tone tile with matching grout so it wouldn't look dirty, and there would be much less grout. Personally, I wouldn't put wood flooring into a small bathroom with little kids. I'd stick with tile....See MoreNeed help decorating my small powder room
Comments (20)More info on the tile....in the questions for that photo, they say the tile is Puka Iridescent. I had a feeling that Puka was Sonoma Tilemakers but I couldn't check last night. So I have found it in their Vihara line of glass tiles. I actually like their Silk colors better than their Iridescent colors as an iridescent has other colors that probably won't work with your cream and brown granite. I had samples of Oceanside glass tiles in the polished, matte, and iridescent tiles, and just a touch of the iridescent wouldn't be bad in a custom mix. They have many colors, shapes, and sizes like Vihara. Your problem will be that you only need one or two sheets of tile for your backsplash and many places have minimum orders. https://sonomatilemakers.com/vihara/...See MoreNeed help picking a small powder room paint color
Comments (49)Hi all! Thanks for all of your suggestions. The laundry chute is non functional as the previous owners inadvertently blocked part of the opening in the basement when they had it finished. I'm thinking about skipping the shelves and putting a towel bar and then some artwork hanging on the wall above it. @boxerpal The color is SW Grape Mist. I really like how it turned out!...See MoreSmall bathroom/powder room design help!
Comments (3)The vanity IMO would the 1st thing to go and keep the rest of the finishes simple. So I have no idea how big the space is but if it is a PR why have the shower at all so maybe a bit more info would help. I like floor and shower walls all the same to make spaces feel bigger and I really do not like subway tile in showers since the more grout the more work to keep clean ....See Morechispa
