Good Mornin! So this beautiful spring morning with outside temp still in the freezing 40s we go on with the PH quest of mine lol yesterday I adjusted the water down to 4.7PH (the ph down solution slipped form my hand) but in 2 hours I was up to 5.1 (this is JUST water) this morning I am up to 5.2 which is nice.. generally my PH would have been 7-8 by the morning check unfortunately the water does run warm and the ice melts quickly in there. so I fill ziplock bags with ice and dump them in there.. down to 20-22C from 26C I drained the water in to a bucket and added my Nutrients Starting water now is at 22C , PH of 5, 220PPM Hydrogarden Tomato mix 2 tsp + Cal Nit 2tsp + Mg sulf 1.3Tsp mixed it for 15 min poured it back into the system added some ice bottle and H2O2 after mix we are up to 920ppm. PH 5.2, temp 21c.. I can not keep up this temp control I will see if I can find a cheap chiller.. open to ideas on this. I will let the PH ride at the low 5 and see how it handles itself in a day.. P.S. the mix is Derived From: Potassium Nitrate, Potassium Phosphate, Muriate of Potash, Iron Chelate (DTPA), Boric Acid, Iron Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Copper Chelate (EDTA), Zinc Chelate (EDTA), Zinc Sulfate & Molybdic Acid .

It's true the LED strip is a little bit brighter than we would like at night so we might try to find a way to diffuse it a bit. But we love the fact it goes on everytime we walk in & turns off after 5 minutes of no movements in the bathroom. That's a great thing about Angie's list. I always tell providers that I found them through Angie's list & I'm not shy about telling them that I always post reviews there. For the most part, they make sure I'm really happy ;-) canuckplayer, I know from the rendering it's hard to tell but my tower is 15" above the counter. It's really easy to access the space under. Just like it's easy to access the counter under kitchen cabinets. My DH didn't put things away before because he had no where to put things other than on the counter. Now he will have lots of storage over & under the counter. Everything will be very easily accessible. Hopefully I will get the wallpaper delivered & installed by the end of this week & the mirrors also. Once the wallpaper is up then we can installed the towel bars & magnifying mirrors next to each sinks. Pictures coming soon :-)

I love a mystery. I vacuumed out my tower this morning. I still had a problem where some websites would open and some would just be blank....with that yellow triangle warning down in the left hand corner. Soooo I did a system restore back a couple of days. Right now, everything is working fine. The only thing I can think of is that I interrupted an uninstall of a trial version of Adobe 8 Pro and didn't finish the uninstall. That's the only odd thing that I can think of. Mystery is the bell. That would denote a hardware problem to me....but...? And I couldn't find one single reference to a bell ringing in the tower (except real bells in real towers, LOL). I can't be the only person with a bell in my puter. It's not under warranty anymore so I'll just take a wait and see attitude for now. Thanks all for your comments.

At the end, *all* of these were confirmed: 1) bad wiring to thermostat. It was quite kinked, and intermittent. I cut off an inch or two and re-stripped. 2) original thermostat fan relay was bad. I confirmed this with a meter. 3) first replacement thermostat had bad fan relay, again confirmed with meter. 4) second replacement thermostat was just plain DOA. (I tested the third in the store before leaving!) 5) bad capacitor. I don't have confirmation that the high limit switch was bad; behavior didn't change after I swapped it out. The controller board seems off the hook for the moment, although I'm still unclear how anything other than its logic or fan relay could have kept the fan going after pulling the thermostat from the wall. I am kind of curious about this. 1) and 2) had clearly manifested from time to time in the past, but got shrugged off when they only happened once. 5) seems to have been showing itself for a while. The slow start was consistent with the monster 1hp motor on my swamp cooler, so it, along with the buzz (which I took to be slowly spinning up) never stood out. I'm pretty sure the cap got louder after the last couple of weeks, but . . . [the next HVAC related project in a few months is probably a scoop for the swamp cooler. A standard grate seriously cuts the flow. Being open and venting down in our entryway results in most of the flow going to the front of the house and a couple of bedrooms getting so little flow that air comes *in* the windows (aside from being ugly and looking tacky). I'm thinking in terms of a two foot panel that comes down a few inches or foot on one side and a foot or foot and a half or so towards the hall, to rent a lot in that direction. (This year, I used a spare 4x8 panel to block flow into the living room. I'll eventually build a sliding barn door type panel, but that's enough issue). But for now, we'll enjoy the warm house, and not paying for the electricity for three space heaters, freeing two for the hothouse (and just in time!)]
