Comments (4)I don't think of it as quite complete yet I have not addressed the bugs we encounter. So anyone else that wants to see something not present in it please let me know. The final version I will post as FAQ in the sugject heading....See MoreOakleaf Hydrangea Flower Issue
Comments (8)Hello, I think balancing out your soil a bit with a good slow-release fertilizer will probably help. But I also wonder how much sun your oakleafs are getting. They can take a good bit (almost full), and will be much less likely to bloom in shadier spots. I would be careful keeping the soil wet continuously though, as oakleafs tend to be sensitive to wet feet, and can be drowned much more easily than mopheads and lacecaps. They don't mind frequent watering, but need good drainage. Good luck!...See MoreMy first flower buds ever!
Comments (18)I also would like to know about micronutrients. I have read quite a bit about there use but I am not sure what to use for this. I really don't have access to that stuff here so if anyone could give me a website that I could buy it from that would be great. So far I have been using miracle grow for graden plants and slow release fertilizer. i have not had any burn and the tree is blooming so I think all is well for now, but I want to be able to give my tree that extra boost while the flowers/fruit are developing. Any ideas? I would also like to go from chemical to organic gardening. I would like to know that what I am eating is not full of chemicals. Thank you all! Comments (5)who is Zen? a person or a practice. I don't have pics, i'll see if I can get some. as to your questions. Yes in full sun,, when there is some. Size about 3/4 inch. Prior conditions: well temps have been swinging up and down. one night I left them out when the night-time forecast was 39, (about a week-ago), I didn't cover them, and that's the first time I had some die. They turn brown, altho still standing. I wasn't entirely surprised, I figured in spite of the forecast, it must have dipped below freezing. Now that you (Ken) have pointed me to prior conditions, I'm wondering if that night weakened them, even tho ones that didn't obviously die. Since that event, it hasn't been any colder than that, it has been 65 one day and then 55 the next.thanks for your questions. I'll try to come back later with a picture....See MoreUser
