I have never been able to wear walking sneakers of any kind. The only time of sneaker I can wear without pain is a New Balance X trainer style. Used to wear Nike and Reebok cross trainers but they changed. I once bought a pair of walking sneakers for a trip to Disneyland. Wore them for 3 hours the first evening and the pain started at the ankle, then the knee and finally the hip. I wore sandals for the rest of the weekend because I couldn't even stand in those shoes without pain. It took me a month to fully recover. So I can see how that women could have hip fractures if she has brittle bones. But I think suing is insane. If something hurts then stop using it fool. I really wear sneakers. I wear sport sandals and flip flops in the summer and boots in the winter. Sketchers seem to be made for flat feet. I never found a pair that offered any support at all for my high arch.

I recently bought a black leather Stressless recliner made by Ekornes. I am not extremely excited about the way it looks, but I have neck problems and finally could not tolerate my wing back chair anymore. It is the most comfortable chair you can imagine. I had to compromise looks vs pain relief. Now my family grabs the chair if I am not in it! I have a friend who has had hers for years and it still is in fabulous shape. I hate the bottom of the chair more than anything. Have not figured out how to post pictures yet, sorry.

Oh, did you order from the link I had provided? I have never learned to crochet -- I saw that page when I was looking for a different crochet pattern for a friend of mine. I don't think English is the first language of the person who wrote the pattern, so perhaps that's the problem.

You may very well be right, Hhireno.. in fact, I said the same thing last night. I was not wearing the sneaker when i lost it LOL.. but that would have been a neat trick! I had a longer walk to another building later in the day.. wore my reg shoes from the car to my office. So today I was walking to my car mid-day-- and a group of 4 people were walking down the sidewalk and showed no signs of moving.. I had just crossed the street (jaywalking!) and stood off to the side to let them pass.. in doing so, I grazed my hand along the fire hydrant and felt something odd. I looked-- and holy crap, there was my sneaker! Upside down on top of the hydrant! Now I need to decide if it is going to skeeve me out to put it on after it sat outside for anyone to touch, fondle or spit in for three days. I do really like the look and reviews on the Asics trail shoe Terriks listed. My current sneaker is a running shoe but not exactly what I'd think a serious runner would use. It is good for a general workout, jogging, etc. It's not bright or especially attractive.. but it fits me well. I think I am still going to checkout the brands and options I've marked as possibilities based on your recommendations.. but now I can take some time to check them out. Thanks!! This is very similar to what I have now.. but mine are in a different colorway with orange and navy details on the sole, tongue and heel.
