Paint living room

hello need help interior wall color

last year

am working on the remodeling of my kitchen and painted all in sw soft white . cabinets are white and island in a pretty dark cherry brown , perla venata countertops . it is open area next to dinning and connecting to living room. my dilemma is interior color for the connecting dinning and living room. currently have i graphy gray color from restoration hardware in the living room but need a color that can coordinate well with the new soft white kitchen which is visible from these rooms. should i continue with the soft white in the living room. and dinning ? my dilemma is i feel i need some color on these two connecting rooms. i have also a dark wood in the stair rail handle right next in the dinning . i have tried agreable gray and repose gray by sw they both look great on one side but the other side of the wall is too dark.

Beige vinyl is often a huge upgrade - there are a lot of people who would like to have your color issue! :) You can absolutely do white trim with the beige windows. If you think about it's really no different than if the windows were wood. Wood windows and white trim work out perfectly fine and so with the beige/white combination. Exterior is a lil different. White house trim with beige windows isn't always the cutest look. If you want light trim exterior, all you have to do is select a lighter version of the beige on the windows. You can go so light that it almost look white but the harmony is still detectable.

I am having a similar problem now with exterior almond/tan vinyl windows. My home was painted 1/4 way around only and stopped them because the paint looked terrible against the faded vinyl. I have been back to the get new samples of paint to try around the windows, but I still can’t find a color that is compatible. My home was built in 78, and I think the windows are probably 90s. I bought the home in 2015. It is currently a beige color with green trim, very blah. I think I may go white, and the trim color I found matches the vinyl on the windows, called French Beige a Behr Marquee color. Then add shutters in the front, or I may need to change out all windows and then I can paint it whatever color I like.

Well even without furniture that is a gorgeous room and it's going to look beautiful when it's done, love the floors! The tables will work and I'm super jealous because that is the same coffee table I've been trying to talk my DH into buying for the past year! IMHO the entertainment center looks best with the walnut, it's very pretty. The entertainment center is more contemporary, than the coffee table, but it should work ok. It's much nicer looking than the second options in black. Not a fan of those at all. Now, the problem with the wall color vs the sofa upholstery is that monitors vary in how they display. On my monitor, your walls look plum or purple, the sofa you said is gray but on my screen it looks like a dirty brown. Do you have the name of the paint color at all? Or has anyone told you what tone it is?

Sure. Solid color strategy to use the same color on walls and trim. Walls matte/eggshell, trim semi-gloss or gloss. They will look like different colors because of the different gloss levels but will have a natural harmony. Living with all white walls can be cognitively, visually straining so just make sure you have a decorating plan in place to offset all the white. Good art, good lighting, good window treatments, rugs, etc.
