Then you throw it in the washing machine to become "raggy". Nice and simple and it would make a great baby quilt. Here are two bowls that I said I would show you as well. These are nice and simple too and take about a hour and a half to make. They are reversible so you can have what ever look you want. One for each of my Hubbys' grandmothers. Now to go make the log cabin Christmas pillow for my sister. Almost there! Syreeta...See MoreCan I run a holiday project idea by you all?
Comments (8)The idea sounds cute...but here is another thought that would be cute too. In the movie (one of my favorites!) Dorothy had to click her heals 3 times and say "There's no place like home." Instead of putting the heart, clock etc..., at the top of the sign put 3 sets of "ruby slippers" as if they were "clicking" then on the next line put "There's no place like home..." and on the third line put "For The Holidays" with gifts on either side. Whatever way you do it will be cute I'm sure. Have fun!...See MoreMy Holiday Weekend Project

But like the others have said, think of how relieved you will now feel that it's all behind you. It does play havoc on your body too...seems there are muscles used that we never knew we had till they ache! The reason I can relate..when we lived in our 'This Old House'... DH always had some 'project' or reno planned that would start in the Spring, But ALWAYS went right up to the final hrs before the Holidays. This always brought on major stress since we were the ones who would host all the family for Christmas. I do have to say, once it was over..it was over and it felt sooo good to enjoy what was done... This too will pass Lynn...once it's all put together again, I know I will be 'seeing' your big smile as you're enjoying the results! jane...See MoreQotD 11/28/2011 - Holiday Projects?
Comments (12)This year I think I outdone myself! LOL Blue and white Shakespeare in the Park for my cousin - done Blue and white Disappearing Nine Patch for another cousin - done Black White and Red Disappearing Nine Patch for another cousin - done Green Red and Beige Disappearing Nine Patch for another cousin - done Teal and Black Disappearing Nine Patch for a friend - just need to bind Eagle Wallhanging for my husband - done Crate blanket for my grandpuppy - done Japanese Tree of Life Wallhanging for me - in progress I had decided that this year I was going to make a quilt for everyone who is close to me that I had not made one for. I succeeded except for my mom, who is going to remodel her bedroom and has not given me colors yet. I had made the Chocolate brown Shakespeare in the Park for my son's wedding in October, so I did not have to do a christmas quilt for him. I also made an Irish Chain out of 1930's fabric for a friend going through chemo earlier in the year. This has been my most productive year! Jackie...See Morecaroline94535
