Farrow and Ball Paint Application Question
Comments (7)I did the powder room in Red Earth (Estate). I forgot that my walls have a lot of texture, so the gallon did not go as far as I thought it would. I only did two coats plus some touch up. This is the best paint I have ever used. Even DH liked it enough to exclaim about the texture. And no, absolutely no, odor. I love this paint. I have been unable to find a F&B blue that works for my laundry room, so I decided on a F&B turquoise instead. I'm so smitten that I will forgo the perfect color for the perfect texture!...See MoreMatch for Farrow and Ball's 'Pale Powder' paint color

Comments (10)That looks more like Teresa's Green to me anyway, honestly, at least on my monitor. Light Blue is much moodier. Amy, the answer to your other question... From my Ben Moore fandecks, I would suggest looking at the following: Corn Stalk 542 Woodland Hills Green 543 Shades of Spring 537 Vienna Green 538 The second two are knocked back a bit, less vivid. F&B Saxon Green is worth a look. Less yellow, but it would be a gorgeous wall color. Pratt & Lambert Palm Green Floradora (don;t you just love that name?!) Sherwin Williams Leapfrog 6431 This last one is the closest match, though not necessarily a good wall color. I would really ask a client some tough questions before giving my blessing on such a strong color! Remember, color magnifies on four walls. Getting that green feeling you want, just enough but not too much, can be achieved with less saturation. Every room is different. Accordingly, you might take a look at SW Great Green or Baize Green....same strip as Leapfrog. This is all just a place to begin searching. These are not color recommendations, other than that they closely replicate the color of my curtains. Good luck!...See MoreAnyone used Farrow and Ball Babouche?
Comments (30)Oh, the yellows are for a guest room, not the study/library! I'm looking at the non-yellow colors for various rooms: study, powder room, gallery, maybe laundry room, mudroom bathroom, for now. Thank you for that offer, Bella Flora, but I was unable to get an email address for you through GW. Do you want to send me email address through GW? It has worked in the past. I like Bunny Williams's work very much. Despite all the skill and knowledge involved, her rooms usually look as though they evolved naturally over time, comfortably, without trying too hard, and I really like that (not to mention the beauty of the components). Our house is based, slightly loosely, on a 19th century stone farmhouse and I thought the F&B mellowness would be a way to go, although Central Texas is far from NY or London. (My only wild rooms are one of the guest bedrooms and the laundry/mudroom.)...See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
