Replacing shutters/painting tin roofing. Need color recommendations.
Comments (5)I would then have the shutters on the rock as un-noticeable as possible by keeping them a color that blends with the rock. Here is a brief article on shutters for you to read Shutters vs Shudders As you can see from the above, your shutters are too skinny to fit your double windows properly. BTW, builders have been providing ill-fitting plastic shutters screwed to the siding for more than 50 years rather than spending the money on properly sized shutters in the right locations. It is just one of their cost cutting measures ...many people don't know the difference until they research shutter sizes, types, etc....See MoreAmateur painting trim--recommended paint brand?
Comments (9)I seem to end up buying houses with various flavors builder grade oak throughout. This is my third home and the first one I used BM Advance throughout. I have tried oil lots of other options and BM Advance is a fantastic product for trim. If you are painting the trim in that many rooms the dry time is probably by going to be an issue because it will take so long to paint each coat of trim in multiple rooms so that by the time you get through all of it once, the starting area will likely be ready for round 2....See Morepainting our house. is the color to bold for this home style?

Comments (13)What a view! I think your interior would look gorgeous painted Sherwin-Williams alabaster, paint the trim in a semi-gloss sheen the walls eggshell. Your stonework is very brown and I think to pull off the light and airy look you’re going to want to address the stonework doing something either German smear or the limewash Katie B mentioned above. The lime wash looks much easier and less labor intensive. In pictures it looks terrific but I have no real life experience! here is a blog by Emily Henderson where they did their fireplace with the German smear technique and I think it looks amazing. https://stylebyemilyhenderson.com/blog/design-decide-mountain-fixer-upper-fireplace Leave the garage door as is and update your light fixtures. I would not paint the vinyl windows black leave them white, paint the gutters shakes everything white, lime wash the stone and your place will look amazing. SW shoji white, SW alabaster (my house is alabaster) both would be nice exterior whites not to bright. One of my favorite houses in the first picture....See MoreSigrid
