Pretty home! I like the green, I would actually tone the yellow way down. A straw color would look nice. Something light, grayed down, subtle... Right now the 2 are competing. Let the green shine :) Good luck!

I can try. This paint addict has a bunch 'o fan decks, but I don't have one from Behr. I checked colorcharts.org, Benjamin Moore's Desert Tan is a near match (abt 95%) to Warm Muffin. I do have BM's fan deck. Only one problem. Just caught that you're very new here (welcome, by the way), so you probably aren't aware of this yet, but virtuals are unreliable for matching to paint names. That's because so many factors can alter the color. For instance, I have Ben Moore paint software, could do your wall in Desert Tan using their software. Only it won't look anything at all like Desert Tan in real life. That's because the software is not true to color, then each computer's video card can alter color, and once it's posted online each person's monitor will relay the color differently. I have actually scanned swatches and tried to get a photoshop match that way and it's way off between how the scanner reads it and how my computer's video card displays it. So the best way to use 'virtual paint' is in reverse. Find colors that you like in virtual, then you have to scour the real life swatches for close matches and narrow from there. It's also an excellent way to rule out what colors and undertones do not work or don't appeal to you, once you're able to see them in a room. So with all that said, best I can do is eyeball Desert Tan on my fan deck and try for a close match. Maybe I can snag some time early tomorrow. ;)

I have used different colors of paint in the same room in my home, and in my mom’s home. She asked me to paint one of her bedrooms that had an adjoining bathroom. I used a darker intensity from the same paint strip to paint the bathroom to give the illusion that the bathroom was farther away. If you have an entryway that you want to “spotlight,” you could use that as an accent, or a fireplace wall, or some nice feature that you want to showcase. I don’t worry about what is “in” or “out” but do things that my husband and I like—we are the ones who live here, not someone on HGTV.

Not an expert....but you can go with more than 1 accent color. If you like the blues and greens, get a few printed pillows in blue/green (like the example above) then some solid pillows in blue and some in green. I have 3 accent colors in my family room. I bought an accent pillow that is teal but has embroidered brick red and yellow-y gold flowers on it. So my other accent pillows are solid brick red, teal and gold. I have a brick red fireplace that goes to the top of my vaulted ceiling so IMO I think my colors work well :)
