Here's a house with a similar palette that looks great: You should leave it and spend your budget time on other things: --Replace white pillar with dark, beefy wood pillar in roof color. --Paint front door light turquoise or yellow. --Get profeessional landscaping with an emphasis on deep rounded foundation beds across the entire front of the house (but not too close) a mix of everygreen and deciduous shrubs, grasses, dark brown mulch, pernennials. Break up the lawn with an island or a tree set into a wide round bed. with some hardscaping, dark mulch to echo roof. Lawn needes edging along the driveway. If you have the budget, gray and brown slate curved walkway from the garage would create a garden bed on the front of the house. Comments (19)What is the age of the house? I am thinking 1910ish plus/minus. A big window like that was meant to impress because plate glass was a big deal. Do you think it may have had some leaded glass in it at one time? Here is a much more modest c.1910 classical revival house with overscaled Palladian window and here although there are divisions in the windows, they are painted dark to emphasize the glass area rather than the divisions....See MoreExterior design help
