Finding a bathroom wall color to go with vanity color

Hi there, I purchased this bathroom vanity in silver gray.

I am painting a small, north west facing bathroom with a whitish marble-look vinyl tiled floor. I am trying to find a paint color for the walls that will not look horrible with the vanity. I am kind of wishing I had bought the other offered vanity color that is a simpler gray.

I went to Home Depot and had them do a color match from the vanity. I have the paint sample and all the codes on it, but I can't seem to figure out how to find an actual named paint color that would be similar to my custom color. If I did that, I could know what type of color it is and choose a light color for the walls that would match. I am trying to choose a light blue/green/gray color, but I have held up a couple next to the vanity and it doesn't look great.

nosoccermom, I have considered it, I saw your posts about it and yours looks great! I ordered the samples though and none really looked good in my rooms. The colors that company has are too busy and/or dark for these bathrooms, especially with the existing floor. However I did find some patterned vinyl contact papers I am considering - they have some other granite patterns and terrazzo and marble, too! Check these out: Terrazzo marble brown marble I just am having hard time envisioning an overall color scheme for some reason, I don't want to decide on the countertop without considering the floor and how the wall color will tie it together.

You've most likely painted by now. But if you haven't, just try out your Blonde paint in there, since you probably still have a partial can sitting around. Doesn't cost anything but a little time to try it. I kinda think you'll need something a bit different to go with the light grey. I wanted desperately to go with Restoration Hardware Cappuccino or Flax in my bath. But even though anything with gold tones clashed with my beige/taupe tile, the Cappuccino was too off and the Flax too dark. Take a look at their website to see if one of those types of colors would work for you. I would do a white terry shower curtain with a greyed brown wall color, and towels in the flax or mocha tones in there. Red

Finish the room then choose color - I agree! Personally I wouldn't do white or gray - I love a punch of color, especially in a bathroom. There are so many more colors than white and gray - I would love to see people be more adventurous! If you are not the adventurous type then at least get some contrast and do a darker gray or put in a chair rail and do the bottom white and darker on top... Good luck!

Also, I could consider painting the vanities a dark color, maybe a very dark green like in photo below (I tried to find a dark gray that works but came up empty). Do you all think that would help update the overall look? The beige tiles and brown granite are killing me basically.
