How to enhance exterior of Shed Style house?

I am looking for some advice on how to enhance the exterior of this home. It is a really unique style and I am a bit stumped as to what to do with it!.

I think I would like to add a covered entry but am unsure what would look and work best given the existing roof lines. I do like the natural elements of river rock and wood that it is finished with but would like to improve on this further with some architectural enhancements. I see a patio area and landscaping under the front window as well. Thanks for any feedback!

Paint the garage doors a shade closer to the wood siding (or replace with wood stained to match). Paint the front door something nice--green, red, etc.

Do a bit more vertical landscaping, especially in the bed on the left--might be a good idea to hire a pro for the whole yard to draw up a general plan.

It's a beautiful home. Don't change too much.

Go for rustic, not colonial, lantern lights that are 1/3 of the doors' height.

Sorry all I have been on the road and just getting a chance to reply but I am in the very top corner of SC so no worry of hurricanes here. As far as placement of the house I will not be in a neighborhood and off the road just a bit so I wanted to leave house placement up to whichever direction would be most efficient for the solar panels so I don’t have to worry much about curb appeal. There is a lot of cleared pasture land for sale here relatively flat that is sold off in tracts of 3-10 acre parcels with two lots in particular I am looking at. I originally was looking at a 1.5 story house plan that did have a smaller footprint but also would be more time consuming to frame as it had a long shed dormer with a row of windows to let in light on the second floor. I figure the long straight walls and simple roof of a plan like this would offset the cost of having a larger footprint due to how quickly it could be framed up, especially using SIPs.

A closer view of the porch would be helpful. The railing appears to be the kind of unpainted/unstained safety enclosure you'd expect to see on a backyard deck. A nice improvement would be to widen the steps to the full width of the porch, and add a more attractive railing around the porch and down both sides of the steps. Maybe a black metal railing. A smaller update would be to paint the wood white and replace only the handrail to one that fits the hand more comfortably. Safer and better looking with relatively little effort. I understand what people are saying about the shutters not being properly sized to the window because they couldn't cover the window if closed. But to my eye they give the windows a little heft and I like the black colour. I think of them as eye makeup for windows - they enhance the eye although nobody really has black lines around their eyes LOL. Where I live they're very common on this type of window on a brick house. Agree with what has already been said about the driveway and landscaping. Don't paint the brick. Cute house, and won't need much to bring out its charm.

I actually like the front door you have, much better than the door you picked. The existing one, fits the style of the house much better. All the doors you picked, while beautiful, lean more craftsman. Your house is not a craftsman style, it isnt mcm either, but, it leans more mcm than it it does craftsman. The garage doors dont appear to be just right either. The windows could have been longer, but, not quite as high, and no grids in them. Sorry, because, you did say, they were already ordered, and I dont know if its too late to change them out.

New front doors those builder ones just don't cut it and for sure not white and tha garagw doors too need windows for sure just like the doors and maybe a nice cedar for the garage and a deep red/ brown for the doors . Why would you want patio at the front ? Is there no back yard? I do agree some nice landscping is in order .I there D logs on most of the exterior or siding? That siding look slike it could use a really good clean up.

It is a great house aside from the front doors and garage doors. The white is not attractive next to the natural wood siding. If the siding needs to be refreshed, do that, and replace those doors with a better style and color. It's not going to be easy to cover the front door on that house style. Hopefully you are usually entering the house from the garage. I guess if it were me I wouldn't look at covering the front door until it's time to replace the roof.

Reface the garage doors in horizontal wood to match the siding.

Replace the front doors with wood and glass MCM doors in a walnut stain.

You might take a look at Acorn Deck House’s website. Your home looks like many of those that they have built over the years. Their portfolio of homes might provide you with inspiration for paint, finishes, even (perhaps) a roof over your entrance. And, check out the landscaping around their homes, too. Lovely house!

I think a trellis built along the garage wall at height of roof over the door, but the last bit solid to shelter the door might look cool and could grow a vine on it. Clematis armandii could work.
