Coil the vine in a circle like a hose if you want to plant the whole thing in a space shorter than the vine.

dig hole in ground.. insert plant.. preferably roots down... fill hole with soil.. water ..

worry about being artistic with it all for 6 months ...

It's unclear if you have rooted the plant in water and are now considering planting it in a pot, or you're heading in a different direction.

If the vine still has the apex (growing tip of the vine) attached, it will continue to extend/ grow longer, but at some point it will branch. If you remove the apex from any vine, new branches will grow from leaf axils (see image of new branches growing in leaf axils)

immediately below the pruning cut (note short stub left after pruning cut was made) This is called 'pinching', and can make your plant very full if done judiciously.

If you are planting the vine in the ground, you can use a 'serpentine ground layer' by planting the roots as normal, but also by digging shallow holes and burying part of the vine where you want new vines to occur. At least 1 node should be below the soil for speedier results.

Here ^^^, a new vine will grow from the axil of each leaf.

Here ^^^, existing branches will become the trunk/stem/vine of a new plant that can be separated from the others and transplanted at any point in time after roots have formed.
