What shoes would you wear with this dress?
Comments (61)Take a look at the Cole Haan air tali wedge. Looks a bit like a ballet flat from the front but has a small heel to add some leg length. Comes in lots of colors and models. Different kinds of heels, toes, spectator style, etc. Nordstrom has a nude peep toe, Zappos carries them as well. Just discovered a zebra pair too. They could look ridiculous or they could look spectacular. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/cole-haan-air-tali-wedge-pump-women/3778977?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0amp;fashionColor=&resultback=800&cm_sp=personalizedsort-_-searchresults-_-1_3_B Here is a link that might be useful: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/cole-haan-air-tali-wedge/3611212?origin=category-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0amp;fashionColor=SANDSTONE+PATENT&resultback=766&cm_sp=personalizedsort-_-browseresults-_-1_4_D This post was edited by deee on Thu, Aug 14, 14 at 15:36...See MoreAm I too old to wear this dress?
Comments (48)Well, I never expected my monkey dress to cause such a flurry! msmarion--thanks for the link to the chain belt. I've not seen anything like that so far, but I'll take a look at TJ Maxx and Marshall's (we don't have Steinmart). I have a green cardigan that I think will work with this dress. I'll keep looking for earrings and a belt. Many thanks to those of you who responded. I truly appreciate it....See MoreWhat to Wear with Dresses in the Winter
Comments (4)I pretty much wear only dresses and skirts. But in the winter, I only wear dresses that I can wear with leggings and boots. I live in Chicago. Life is far too short to suffer through cold legs. Sheer panty hose are better than nothing but seriously not enough for the winter. I live in fleece line leggings from November until April or so....See MoreHoliday Dress Up Clothes…Update / Early Report
Comments (48)So far I’ve sung in one Christmas concert and have one more this week. Both chorales now allow us to wear whatever we want provided it is all black and at least ballet length. I opted for nice black slacks and a turtleneck for the first concert which was on a cold night. The weather will be much nicer for the upcoming one and I plan to wear black velvet slacks and a black lace top. We still have a piano concert and a drop in to attend, a cocktail hour, a dinner and play (and overnight stay) in Atlanta, symphony performance, and I have a ladies’ luncheon as well. And the midnight service on Christmas Eve is usually fairly dressy but not sequins or slits, iykwim. Report: I wore a red dress trimmed in plaid ribbon for the neighborhood party we hosted this weekend, very comfy and perfect for the occasion, and wore my recently purchased red taffeta skirt and red heels with bejeweled strap to the historical society party Saturday. Unbeknownst to me my mother had decided to wear a deep coral dress with a short white fur jacket that she kept on bc she’s always cold, so we definitely had a twinning moment !😎 Terrible picture by DH, very foggy and a lot of light on the porch DD and the kids visited for the weekend and this little guy was there to see us off…I wish we could have taken him with us! Shoes were very successful, as two ladies complimented them and a third complimented AND said she’d like to knock me down in the parking lot and steal them off my feet. (Yes, she was tipsy and her tone was so funny we had a good laugh!)...See Morebbstx
