I'm 47 and I'd wear it. But, then, I live in tye-dye "hippy dresses" for as much of the year as I can. LOL

I don't see an age stamped anywhere on that dress! I am 54 and would not hesitate to wear it. I see it as a simple sheeth and those are pretty much timeless, so if you have the arms to wear it, go for it! If you don't have the arms for it then wear a jacket or sweater with it and I agree about the chain belt being perfect. The earrings are funny, a bit to cutesy for me but that is just me, I would love seeing them on someone else.

I am 66 and if I wasn't big boobed and 25 lbs overweight, I would wear that fun dress. The bunch of bananas is perfect.

The only way I'd wear that dress would be on vacation over a swim suit. The earrings are in the same lot as the dress. Obviously it's just me, but I'd set a land speed record taking it directly to Goodwill..

I think it is very cute. And if you are "fun" enough to want to wear the earrings, do it! If, you still feel like the dress is 'silly'--which I don't-- why not wear a jacket or overblouse or something like that and wear gold or even red, or brown earrings? That might tone down the print. But, I think that print is fun. Have fun!

I like the dress but I say "No" to the bananas. I think a large pair of hoops in olive green or red would be better.

I see it as a cute summer dress for any age. I can't wear large earrings but if you can I like the bunch of bananas better. The brownish tops pick up the browns of the dress.

A bronzey chain belt and bronze or brown sandals and you're ready to go.

I do like the dress, and I have a couple other similar dresses in Hawaiian prints that I wear all the time. I guess the reason I hesitate is that I have "flashbacks" of my ex-husband's mother, who always dressed too young for her age. She was way over 50 and still wearing mini skirts, low-cut tops, 5-inch high heels, and blue eyeshadow. I think there's some point at which women have to start dressing their age, I'm just not sure when that is!

I love that dress and love imagining you in it.
Hate the earrings though. Sorry LOL. The dress has a playful design, but the style itself is not playful for the banana earrings.

Don't think you have to belt it so if you can't find anything, then don't worry about it. I agree with the chain belt, then earring to match the belt.

Wear some kind of summer earrings or just a button earring. Skip the banana earrings--too overboard and Phyllis Diller looking.

I would wear it with a nude colored full slip. A olive green shrug to cover my arms or a shawl. I'd be looking for a pair of espadrills (sp) and a jute belt or a goldtone chain belt. Bananas...not so much. I'd pick gold or oilve green hoop earrings.

I like the dress but undestand it might not be suitable for every outing. I also like the single banana ear rings. I agree a green shawl would lok nice if the weather was cool enough. Have fun and enjoy it. I bet you could get lots of positive comments.

LOL! I'm 58 and that would be on the mild side in my Wardrobe. LOL! My Mother even has a Shift with Monkeys on it and she is 80, although she doesn't do sleeveless.

Of Course you are not to old to wear that dress. I'd wear it anywhere that it was warm enough to go sleeveless.

I have 4 or 5 dresses like that and wearing them constantly in the summer!! Their nice and cool and you can dress them up or dress them casually!! I love it!!

I love the dress and would wear it in a heartbeat, I'm 50. I think the banana earrings are cute but are too yellow for the classy print on the dress. Your monkeys are fun but not too cartoonish, so I'd stay on the classy side. That's a great hawaiian print. I like it a lot.

Now, some solid gold bananas- those would be super cool!

I'm not in love with those earrings either, that's why I haven't bought them yet. And now that so many of you agree, I think I'll skip the earrings. Phyllis Diller indeed! Now that's who my ex's mother reminded me of!

I'm having a real hard time finding the right belt. Can you guys help me out? I've been looking since last June! Have looked in Wal-Mart, Target, our local store that's similar (Fred Meyer), and several other places. I don't want to spend $30 on a belt to go with a $5 dress. I even looked in Michael's for some kind of twine or rope to make a braided or woven belt, but they didn't have anything suitable.

What do you mean by a chain belt? Can you point me to a web site that would have something like that?

I think the dress is wonderful and you wouldn't be too old to wear it, but don't get banana earrings - get some with a simple brown or brown and green would be great. I'd wear a green or brown belt to match.

I wouldn't like it on anyone of any age.

For the right occasion (shopping, girl day-lunch, etc), I think it's fine..shows how you are YOU! BUT...lose the stupid bananas..go for a belt, purse, cardigan in the color of the monkey or leaves--whatever- to accesorize with-plain gold earrings & chain would suffice, IMHO.

Here is a link to a chain belt on ebay. They are very much in style. Do you have Marshalls, TJ Maxx or Steinmart in your area? I'd check there.

I like the dress and hate the earrings. I would also skip the belt (the dress isn't meant to be belted especially if it is short) opting for a shrug instead.

I vote for skipping the bananas too. Dress is darling.

I think you'd need to wear a slip under the dress, or chance being arrested for indecent exposure at WalMart's...Smile. (I'm too modest)
If you're slim, go for it...I wouldn't wear it because my stomach is larger than the day I gave birth to my daughter.

Cute dress. You'll get a lot of compliments. It is totally age appropriate - not too short, shoulders are wide enough to cover a real bra, not too low cut front or back. Not my style but my mom wears similar dresses all the time at age 65. I vote for a smallish hoop earring, a pair of cute sandals or ballet flats, no belt, full slip.

I like the dress and think it would look extra cute with a nice pair of brown sandals.

I have to admit though, that I don't care for the earrings, thats just me though.

I would wear it along with either pair of ear rings.

I love the print and would wear it and I am 56. I also like the earrings, either one. What occasion are you going to wear it to? You could dress it up or down. Light green jade earrings would be nice.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding a hoop/chain belt at Walmart. They are in style right now over tunic tops and sweaters, slung low across hips..If you have a mall near by and an accessory store they'll be there too.

I love it and the earrings! But, if you want a more 'elegant' look there are some very pretty leaf earrings .
