A closer view of the porch would be helpful. The railing appears to be the kind of unpainted/unstained safety enclosure you'd expect to see on a backyard deck. A nice improvement would be to widen the steps to the full width of the porch, and add a more attractive railing around the porch and down both sides of the steps. Maybe a black metal railing. A smaller update would be to paint the wood white and replace only the handrail to one that fits the hand more comfortably. Safer and better looking with relatively little effort. I understand what people are saying about the shutters not being properly sized to the window because they couldn't cover the window if closed. But to my eye they give the windows a little heft and I like the black colour. I think of them as eye makeup for windows - they enhance the eye although nobody really has black lines around their eyes LOL. Where I live they're very common on this type of window on a brick house. Agree with what has already been said about the driveway and landscaping. Don't paint the brick. Cute house, and won't need much to bring out its charm.

I'm not seeing how the left turn into the garage between the two trees is too tight. I'll have to take your word on that. If you have room, you can certainly move it to the right of the second tree. This will make the drive in front of the garage longer. More gravel. You need to eliminate all the triangular, pie shaped wedges of grass, both at your front entry circular drive and at the interchange to the in-laws. Connect all the drives with perpendicular, 90 degree turns with wide aprons. No pie wedges. I don't like the key hole circular drive for the front entry. It can either be a U shape with two connections to the garage drive at at least a long oval instead of a tight circle. Keep the front entry drive as far away from the house front as suits you and make a path to the front porch. Don't cram the guest driveway up against the house.

You are limited by what you buy. Pavers for a driveway need to be thicker than patio pavers to withstand the weight of vehicles. True Interlocking Pavers can only fit together one way. Other pavers allow more diversity but there are still limitations. For example, the basic brick shape can be laid in these PATTERNS. More unusual patterns require more complex shapes like THIS (there are only 3 basic shapes used—squares and truncated triangles), or the use of contrasting colors to produce patterns. However, the more ARTFUL the paver arrangement the more you will need an artisan to do the work.

As long as your birdhouse is on your property, it's legal. I'd make the birdhouse moveable, in case she moves the camera. You can make the birdhouse attractive, so it's a feature.
