Need rug ideas for dining room
Comments (7)You could also go for a more geometric or floral pattern, e.g. http://bienliving.squarespace.com/blog/2011/3/29/time-for-a-new-rug.html or http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-glory-overdyed/turquoise/200SPRE8C-508.html http://fab.com/inspiration/shaggy-trellis-7-6x9-6-turquoise http://www.etsy.com/listing/106008112/vintage-blue-green-cream-wool-rug-with Also, have you looked at Wayfair? http://www.wayfair.com/Area-Rugs-C215386.html Here is a link that might be useful: turquoise/green rugs...See Moreplease pick a rug for dining area in the living room.
Comments (12)when you get a chance, post more pics showing your entire space. stand in your doorway and shoot from left to right. post those. if the kitchen area isn't included in those, then post some for that area too. Can you paint, yes or no? even if it's white, would they let you paint? or perhaps they will if you tell them you'll paint it back before you leave (if you choose to do another color besides white) here are some options I think would work w/what you have, and some pics to display a type of layout of your furniture. look at a few of these side tables they use, and lamps. instead of the white media cab you have, I think a larger walnut, mcm, type of cabinet, or the more modern white one, larger one, would do the trick. I really like this for your tv, and a strong color for the wall it's on. (your other walls would be white) . your tv is bigger and take the place of the mirror. and this pic has the same rug I picked for you. potted plants, also notice these blinds. much better than those minis....See MoreDining Room Rug Ideas
Comments (19)@beverlyFLADeziner, thank you so much for your thoughtful advice. I agree, chandelier definitely needs to go. It doesn’t fit the space and not our style anymore. I should move the small wooden round over the sideboard.. and add bigger art to the wall as you suggested. Our style is mostly clean lines and simple. Is it okay to have one style of lighting in the dining room and another style in the rest of the downstairs living area?...See MoreDining room area rug replacement
Comments (2)I know what you mean by being overwhelmed with rug choices --there's just so many! You may want to try Ruggable. It's a washable rug which would be great for pets and messy dinner guests. Dakotah Sumac Rug Diamond Trellis Rug Kavi Diamond Silver Rug Dakota Charcoal Rug Not to put down thinkdesignlive suggestion at all but wanted to give my experience with Flor tiles. They are great in theory but terrible long term. I ordered 7 -5'x5' sets of them for the office and although they are durable they are nearly impossible to keep together long term. At first they work fine but if you move on them at all they come apart or are never perfectly square so there are gaps here and there at where they "attach". After awhile they come apart and the sticky dots they give you become worthless. Friend's of mine also had them for under their dining table and experienced the same and quickly switched to a real rug. It did look great for the first two weeks tho! Sorry for my mini anti Flor tile rant, haha. I've just seen them go wrong so many times, I couldn't keep my mouth shut....See More- adg137 thanked Celery. Visualization, Rendering images
