What caused this on green bean leaves?

Subject line says it all.... what caused this on my green bean leaves? I first noticed it a few days ago and it's also happening to the buttercrunch lettuce that's nearby. The variety is Calima (new to me) and they were sown late, so they're young and I have just started harvesting from these plants. All of a sudden the leaves have these tiny light-colored speckles. I don't see any pests or problems, although I did notice flea beetles on a young squash plant in a different garden that's about 20 feet away. The beans are in a new garden (z5 NY), and it's still quite sandy, so flea beetles would love it here -- I just haven't seen any. lol! Otherwise, I have no clue what's causing it. If it matters, it rained all day on Monday and yesterday we had about an hour of strong wind and downpours.
