Design Dilemma Paint Kitchens

Help us choose a paint color for our remodeled kitchen

We have just remodeled our kitchen and are having a hard time figuring out what color to paint it. The rest of the first floor is dark blue and light blue with white trim (see the photos). I attached photos of the kitchen. It has light wood cabinets, dark wood floor, soapstone countertops, and sea foam backsplash.

What color would look good here, and would also flow well with the other colors on the same floor? We would like to avoid yelllows and oranges (family is not a big fan). Should we go with a strong / saturated color or perhaps something quite light? Thanks I. Advance for your input!!!!

match the sink shade of white..a nice clean white but not stark....just keep the walls fresh like that. enough other things going on and it all looks good..white or light walls will make that backsplash against the wood cabs pop. note below white w the teal/wood really amplifies the effect. If you want more color for the space look at 3rd pic and do it w window treatment/floor runner etc..

Take a backsplash tile to your paint store and find the same color on a strip. Select the darkest variation of the blue tile.

jovtfam4 - posting pictures. First you have to get the picture to your desktop. With a Mac, you just click once/hold/drag to your desktop. Not sure how to do that with a PC. Once the pix is on your desktop, you have to get it to a webpage. I use photobucket.com. Go there and sign up (Join Now) - it's free. An album will be created for you, but you have to get your pictures there. Under the heading, Upload Images & Video, click on Choose files. Select the picture that is on your desktop that you want to post. The picture will be uploaded to your album. Then you will get a page where you can name the picture, if you want-don't have to. You can just click on Return to Album. Under the picture you have uploaded, there is a line called HTML Code. Highlight that whole code (it will be long), copy it, then paste it into a Message window here at gardenweb. Your picture should show up when you preview the message. Good luck.

I believe in the bold, contrasting color for stimulating the babies eyes and brain activity.... I used a bold Disney Towel to place on the ceiling above the crib. It was a bold Mickey Mouse on a huge beach towel with red and black as background color on towel. When my son laid in crib the contrasting colors of towel kept him busy. He's now 22 years old. Been a straight A student thru high school and is a junior at University of Cincinnati majoring in engineering. Just adding lil more info.

I'm not a big fan of red, but if you love that color, go for it. I don't know where you live, but Sherwin Williams will help you pick out colors if you buy (I believe) a $75 gift card. They will send a color specialist to your house. What I did was pay for an interior designer to come in and advise. She was $125 an hour, and I just needed an hour with her. She did great picking out colors and giving me advice on the rest of the house, so maybe look into that.

sorry jeff,,I don't believe that's cathedral on that house. it's very close tho...there is not info on the color of the house w/that picture. grab a sample and try it out. that's not an actual paint color,,its the color of siding. sorry! I posted it for how good it looked w/the coloring you have.
