(long)Cement shortage in your area? Stock up now.
Comments (3)There is a Silica fume shortage as well. Some companies that were distributors are keep their stock for their own use here in Canada. But for us backyard mudders it just means higher prices. We are lucky here in BC that much of our product is fairly local. The cost of fuel to truck the stuff is huge. STYROFOAM* extruded polystyrene insulation the blue stuff has skyrocketed in price because of shipping costs....See MoreGas price in your area??
Comments (10)Dale, I spent most of the time on this last trip in a house in Beaufort, but did camp three days. Two of those days with Carol in different campsites in South Carolina on lakes. One night we were the only ones in the campground, full moon over the lake that was steps away and warm enough to be very pleasant to swim in. On the way back I camped along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was OK, nothing special, and I packed up in heavy rain and had to deal with riding the motorcycle in dense fog the first two hours getting back to interstates. I found out that two of the Thermarest Guidelites (full length but 20" wide) were OK for two people, but on the way back I was by myself and one was definitely not good enough for me alone. I ended up rolling the second one out in the middle of the night. I'll either always carry two, or switch back to a Thermarest LE Long when by myself. We'll definitely use the LE's when car camping, they are slightly more comfortable and, of course, roomier. On the other hand, switching from the Eureka Timberline 4 to a Sierra Designs Sirius 3 tent worked well. We'll keep the Timberline for car camping, but I'll exclusively use the Sierra on the bike. The only other new piece of equipment was a GSI Lexan 30 oz coffee press. Makes much "cleaner" coffee than the Nissan Stainless, and is lighter and slightly more compact. I still have the GSI 10 oz, may just throw out the Nissan...or keep it for when we need regular and decaf at home, and use an extra post coffee-making filter....See MoreFind the cheapest gas in your area
Comments (3)I prefer the Gas Buddy sites. They are updated by volunteers and can be updated several times a day. Even continually if there's enough people seeing it. It's better in the more populated areas of course, and I find it very valuable. You have control over which brands and locations are shown and you can choose how recent the info must be too. I keep a graphic on my link page so I can check it when I need gas. Here is a link that might be useful: Gas Buddy...See MoreGas prices dropped 10 cents. How about yours?
Comments (23)I paid $4.06/gallon it took $31.07 to fill my PT up on Wednesday! I usually don't let my gauge get below 1/2 tank...it was at 1/4 today and I gasped! I don't know what price is higher to comprehend.... Milk @ $4.25/gallon Virginia Slims @ $4.05/pkg Gas @ $4.06/gallon OR Miller Lite 12pkg @ $6.99 (sale price) I usually but the 18 pkg of bottles..it was $19.99! My enjoyments are getting the best of me!...See Morechloebud
