One of my favorite full zip active/fitness sweatshirts is made by Zella and I saw one on the Anniversary Sale that I was eyeing. I was wondering when the sale started (for non Nordstrom card holders), so thank you! I need to order some new mascara (Bobbi Brown No Smudge if anyone is curious) and was planning to make a Nordstrom order just for that if I didn't see anything in the sale that I wanted.

Oh and I do need some clothes, but I just cannot find much that I want right now. With my weight loss many of my go-to items aren't fitting well. I'm not going into the office still (hopefully permanently) so I mostly need a few fun clothes for going out casually or semi-casually. I've found some jeans, but struggling to find any new tops.

Probably not. We don't have Nordstrom here in my area but I shop both that and Macys on line. I bought one small item on the Amazon Prime Day sale. Honestly, with staying home more the last couple of years combined with retirement, there's just not alot I need, or really even want (plus I have several items that I've not even worn). I'm not even looking for anything for the house! LOL!! We are traveling next week and will hit the antique stores, so maybe that will whet my appetite!

Isn't it funny how working from home has changed our wardrobe needs? It has sure helped me as I lose weight. I am getting away with just a few pairs of pants in my transition size.

I tried to find some cute casual tops too-- i don't need any but I could be swayed and one of my 3 nieces with August birthdays said she wanted to "up" her fashion game. I wasn't even tempted by anything. (I did order a few tops from Free People (me) and Cindarella Ranch (niece))

I just havent been very motivated to shop lately. I have picked up a few things but I am not even motivated to shop for what I need-- a new washer/dryer.

No, I'm done with Boden and j.Crew now And I also ordered a pottery barn quilt for my bed on sale too lol!

@Funkyart check out Fischer Paykel for washer and dryer. We had to replace a few years ago and I absolutely LOVE our F & P. Honestly, I would do a commercial for them haha!

Zella Leggings, in hot pink, that is such a boring answer. I really hope to need an evening gown for early September, but I will probably have one made should I decide I can go to an indoor event at an enormous venue. I should probably look for things for my sons.

I just got back from Kohl’s, though …. got two Nine West summer dresses (one maxi, one knee length), and two Sonoma tank tops, which are buy one at $13, get one for $1. I got dark peach and heather gray.

I had a gift card and $5 in Kohl’s cash from the Amazon return I actually went there for — I only had to pay $7 over the total. :)

Probably not sophisticated enough but I sure do love my speed queens. And the best pants I've bought in a long time are Athletas's Cabo linen pants.

I haven't shopped at Kohls in years-- great savings, @Jilly! I used to like their sonoma long sleeve tees. I should pick some up! They fit the wardrobe of my current world.

@Bumblebeez SC Zone 7 which quilt did you get? I just got the plain sunwashed pick-stitch in sky blue... which I hope is the bluish-green it appears to be on my screen!

Funky, I’d stopped going to Kohl’s for years, too … they just weren’t carrying anything I liked anymore. I was so pleasantly surprised today! Lots of cute clothes.

There are a couple more dresses and some shorts I plan to go back for. Oh, and work out clothes.

The maxi Nine West dress seems very well-made, nice heavy/silky fabric and partly lined.

@Bumblebeez SC Zone 7 I have heard others rave about the cabo linen pants also. I don't need black and the other colors didn't spark joy lol so I passed. I DO like athleta clothing. Their High-Rise Elation 7/8 leggings are the only ones I'll buy now.

Ooh @Bumblebeez SC Zone 7 I've been eyeing that same quilt in another color. They originally had it in black on white and I am kicking myself I didn't order it when they had that option. My husband has been griping about our comforter being too hot in the summer and I've been looking for a lighter quilt option.

The quilt is gorgeous, the bed, though ... swoon.

I did my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale shopping last week. Some beauty items, but mostly clothing and a pair of Paul Green loafers. I love the Paul Green boots I got last year!

Bumble....that is just gorgeous! Very earthy and boho all in one. I like the poster bed too. Good wood pieces are always so pleasing to the eye.

At the Nordstrom sale, I plan to shop for sandals and I may order some cosmetics/skin care even if they are not on sale. I am not feeling particularly motivated, though.

I really like the coverlet and going to take a closer look at it. I am in the beginning stages of redoing my bedroom.

Funny you should mention Kohls. I haven't found anything at Kohls for myself other than bathing suits online for years, but so happy I happened to stroll over there online at first, then in the store. I decided that I needed decent clothes at the riverhouse rather than packing a bag of good stuff from home. The riverhouse closet was full of stained tops and uncomfortable shorts most of which were a million years old. I did not want to spend much because I tend to get kinda dirty here, fishing, gardening, and cooking. The vibe is summer casual and lightweight cool. I bought a ton of lightweight Sonoma Goods for Life shorts and tees, Lee shorts, and several items from Tek Gear to wear to the gym. While in the store the other day returning one of the tees, I spotted and had to have a cute linen print dress. I purchased two in different colors to wear around the house but ended up deciding that the dress was cute enough to wear to a casual dinner. It is fun to have a whole new wardrobe on the cheap.

Funky, I remember last years thread about the Nordstrom sale and how we didn't want to say too much prior to our shopping days. I did order a bunch last week but we will see how much we keep.

I order Wit and Wisdom jeans for 2 of us in a few sizes, some Zella for athletic daughter, Caviar sticks for all of us and several pairs of shoes for my size 12 feet. I did not get any of the Nordstrom pj's as we discovered the Alfani ones from Macy's at a fraction of the price are just as nice.

It's like Christmas everyday when I come home!

@RNmomof2 zone 5 yes LOL.. I was all secretive about the things I was most interested in last year! There were a few things I really wanted but I don't remember what they were other than a makeup mirror (which it turns out I can't use). Maybe that is when I got my first caviar sticks?

I did consider trying some wit and wisdom jeans also-- I have never worn them but the price is right for jeans I hope to wear only 2-4 months. Let me know how they work out for you and how the sizes run

Jinx, I just read your comment about Kohls, I have never been but not real sure why. It's in my shopping area close by where I am, usually headed to either Dillards or TJmaxx. I have fast retail burnout, after two or three stores, Done.

Tried to shop the Anniversary sale 3 separate times; each time they were having system problems and my transaction would not complete. This happened at a different point in the transaction each time. Finally decided I really did not need what I was buying.

After seeing some bad reviews on the Zella jacket I wanted, and how long it could take for the mascara to ship to my house, I ended up bailing on making a Nordstrom order and bought the mascara elsewhere. There were a few pairs of jeans that caught my eye, but honestly none of the discounts were that fantastic. I recently found a pair of AG Jeans in Harper style on sale from AG Jeans website and they just arrived at my doorstep today. The discount on them was as good or better than the discounts I'm seeing in the Nordstrom Anniversary sale on jeans.

I remember the chaos of shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary sale at the store when I was a tween with my mom. We would look for school clothes for the next season and it seemed like the deals were really fantastic. I'm just not that impressed with their prices or selection now. Or maybe I'm just too picky about what styles I want these days.

Funky - I purchased a pair of Wit and Wisdom last year, my normal size. Have been happy with them, had two pairs on my Wish List tjis year, but they were not available by time I was eligible to buy items.

Ive placed a few orders without issue -- but if I did hit processing issues, I'd take that as a sign that I didn't need the items!

Thanks for the feedback on Wit & Wisdom fit. I think I'll pick up a pair for fall.

Pricklypear-- I agree that the sales weren't all that. Not many choices and not all that great of a price. Zella is hit or miss for me-- I have been so happy with Athleta that I just stick with them (and watch for their sales).

I am slightly tempted to get another silicone watch -- but really, I don't need one.

OK, I could become a Wit and Wisdom fan girl. My heavier DD and I had a try on session today and UPS even brought us more later! We were both impressed with them. They were flattering on both of us. I'm tall and they were even long enough also on DD they were a somewhat odd length. The skinny jeans maybe fit her better than the straight.

We are both frugal (ok cheap!) and would normally not spend that much on a pair of jeans but both of us felt that they were a good value.

Sold! I had the skinny jeans in my cart-- and I went ahead and ordered them in the full length dark navy and cropped in black. I probably should have gotten the black in full length instead of cropped but oh well. Thanks for the info all!

I ordered a new little black dress from Tahari because I needed one. it came today, I like it and it fits really nicely and is long enough for my 5’9” self. I also had some Hanky Panky undies in my wish list and bought two pair when they went on sale. Waiting for some Zella joggers to arrive too.

I checked my wishlist this morning to see if anything was restocked (no). I think I am done with the sale now. I have a few items arriving over the next week and I have already bought more than I said I would. Nothing too frivolous -- the watch is really the most frivolous but it will be great for the beach/pool/exercise.

I can recall only ever buying at Nordstrom twice. Once I purchased a Custo Barcelona top that was fun and funky, and I loved the heck out of that shirt. On another occasion I bought some perfume on a whim, and encouraged by a helpful (and slightly pushy) sales associate. I decided I didn't care for it once I got it home and returned it. Everything in the store has always seemed overpriced to me. I remember looking at plain white t-shirts on a rack there that were over $100, and just wondering why in the world. I'm now wondering if perhaps the store has changed a bit with the times? I understand the appeal of upscale and luxury goods, but only when the goods are truly special.

ETA: This is not a swipe at what anyone here bought, just my experience with the store and a sort of "wondering out loud" about giving the place another go.

I purchased sandals that I recently ordered from Zappos on sale for almost half the Zappos price. I will return the ones from Zappos. Hoping they fit.

These are the jeans I've been looking for for a long time. High waisted snug in the waist and hips. Flowy everywhere else. Love them!

This irks me every year with Nordstrom. The right hand doesn't have a clue what the left had is doing.

I'm talking specifically about knowing their inventory and selling more than they have in stock. This has happened to me at least once the past several years where they cancel part of your order because the product is out of stock. It takes 4-5 days for them to realize they don't have the product and notify you so by then other things have sold out you may have ordered as a replacement.

This year I ordered a blazer for DD1. Several days later I get notified that it is out of stock. Guess what, it is still listed as available to order so I reorder it. Today 5 days later, I got notification that it was sold out. Frustrating since she ordered pants to match!

Oh RNmom-- that would frustrate me too! I had that happen with a duvet cover at TheCompanyStore recently. I ordered it at least 5 times. I guess that's a little passive aggressive lol-- but really, I just kept hoping it was restocked! I don't think Ive had that happen at Nordstrom.

What will be really frustrating if they restock it after the anniversary sale at full price!

I really wanted to get a fall jacket or blazer but nothing really grabbed me. I am hoping to lose enough weight over the next few months to pull out some of my old jackets that haven't fit in a few years. Always love shopping the sales in my closet! LOL

RNMom i have had that happen a few times too. What really frustrates me with Nordstrom is the extremely long time it takes for them to credit your account when you return anything.

I recently returned an item that took about two weeks for them to finally acknowledge receipt. I have learned to never throw away the USPS receipt until after i have been credited in my account. Thankfully I still had it because after another three weeks my account still had not been credited. I called them and gave them the info, sent them copies of their email saying they had received it in their warehouse and my USPS receipt. Finally got a refund a few days later.

Yeah I gave up on Nordstrom because it's too difficult to do a return and takes forever.

I found several cute items for my grand daughters today that need to be shipped. And two things for myself that I ordered and will be available for pickup in the store which is only about 8 miles from my home. When I go over tomorrow i"ll look around and check out the shoes.
