what color front door with navy blue house
Comments (37)I'm sticking with my original advice! "Rich goldenrod is also a good contrast to navy, and has a certain elegance...think about the gold braid on a Navy uniform... something like BMoore "Dorset Gold" (HC-8), or SW 6369 "Tassel," which is deeper. If you choose gold, be careful to stay away from anything that goes toward orange, as the navy will intensify that tone."...See MoreFront Door Color Help Needed for SW Anonymous Painted House
Comments (32)I should have mentioned this before, but if you ever want to spend money on new doors for your garage, check out French Porte garage doors. We changed to those 12 or so years ago on our 1960 ranch. It made a world of difference on the look of the house. They are more expensive than regular doors, but what a change they made! There are also retro garage doors some of which might be cool. Until then, paint will work just fine! eta: we were posting at the same time. Love that door color, too. Like Wythe Blue, but more saturated....See MoreHelp! Starter home in urgent need of kitchen remodel!
Comments (93)Good plan for keeping to the budget. A couple comments: 1- The dishwasher may have to go next to the stove (not on the sink wall) because its door has to open all the way- 26 inches or more is typical. Check the opening measurements on the dishwasher you choose and allow a bit extra for how it fits under the counter. Of course before you finalize your cabinet plan, you could try scooting the stove over a few inches to see if you can get a dishwasher to open on the sink wall with enough clearance. 2- To retrain yourselves to go in the front door, use concrete parking stops or plain trash cans to make it impossible to drive all the way up to the kitchen door. It's the kind of structure discipline designed to control crowd movement in amusement parks....See MoreNeed help with a front door color on a grey-blue painted brick house
Comments (23)Thank you! There are many more different coleus, there are companies that just specialize in coleus, would you believe it? https://rosydawngardens.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzIPai7ur9QIVzRXUAR2QwwYWEAAYAiAAEgL6D_D_BwE And they are so, so easy to propagate, Just cut off at a slant a quarter inch below a node and stick in water and the roots grow, and change the water frequently until that happens. Or if you have rooting powder, dust the end with rooting powder and stick it directly in not-too tightly packed soil. Have one grouping of leaves above the cut end (you need some leaves for photosynthesis) but not too many leaves or all the energy goes to the leaves and it won't make roots. Keep in the light, but not too bright or too hot. You can find lots of directions on line. Your house would also look nice with window boxes, as do many houses. Don't be shy about asking people for cuttings, like many plants, they get bushier when they are trimmed properly, so you are actually doing them a favor!...See MoreKate S
