Bathroom Reno: Tile Question

MGdecor
last year

We have started our primary bath renovation and purchased tiles that were marked 24x48 for the shower wall. Our ceiling is 96" so I thought if we install the tiles vertically we will just need 2 rows and fill the vertical space perfectly. Turns out the tiles are actually 23.5x47 and we have a couple inches to fill. We have decided to install the smaller cut tile at the base of the shower wall.
Our new baseboard is 5 1/2". My question is do we cut the tile at the bottom at 2-3" depending on the slope of the curbless shower) to fill the wall fully and have a grout line that then meets the 5 1/2" baseboard or do we cut the bottom tile so that the grout line is also at 5 1/2" so it meets the baseboard perfectly?
I've drawn out how the tiles will be installed. We will also have a horizontal niche in the center of this wall.
Please let me know how to cut the tile at the bottom so it looks best. Thanks!
