Canadamom - I am cringing and laughing. If it is not appropriate for Canada, I'm sure it's perfect for my kitchen in Alaska. ;) My partner informed me last night he wants to put in radiant heat on the counters to compensate for the cold from the window... I blinked. Palimpsest - We'll likely go underneath the upper cabinets with plugmold or inside the uppers for the plugs on that run. On the small side of the L, we'll put some outlets down low on the horizontal. We ended up putting the window down by the counter so we'd have some spare inches to play with a small crown and some moulding to hide the lighting under the uppers. We have something like 5 1/2" to play with. Thanks for your reassurance... I am just really having trouble visualizing it coming together, even with the window in... *gulp*

. I love the colors you picked. Although, don't know if red is the right color so close to those yellow bricks. you might try and look more at an orange tone red rather than blue tone. or as stated, the brownish/brick red. look at how beautiful these shades look against your two colors. or just play it safe and paint it a rich deep black.

It looks nice, but I can see it with a darker gray and an ivory where the yellow is now.

Before seeing your post we spent a lot of time trying several yellow samples on our home that just didn't look right...we found that yellow was a very tricky color to get right. So when I happened to come across your post, I showed my husband your home and he agreed that your yellow looked really nice. Since you had provided the name of the color, we were able to get a sample, painted a small area on our home and it looked great. So glad you posted a picture and shared the color you used!
