Hi all. I had my existing fireplace taken apart because it was too traditional and I wanted a lighter stone and dark, floating mantle. Stone is switched out, dark mantle is up, and I had new wood trim installed yesterday, I was looking for a clean, modern line with no additional bevels, ridges, details etc.

**The dark blue wall is going to be painted agreeable gray, and the wood trim is to be painted white.

** something looks off or missing with the wood trim. Any tips on how to fix it so it looks more complete/proportional without adding ornate detail or an old fashioned look? I’d prefer to add something instead of redoing the entire thing. Thank you so much.
