Ohhhh shower ettiquite is such a pain! as much for the recipient as the person throwing them sometimes (due to folks like the mom in this situation. Had we not had ds 7 weeks early we would have had four showers. I have two very close friends who planned on but the guest list was getting obnoxious. When you have a baby in your 40s people just want to be involved. So those two gals split the big one up and hosted on different weeks and we made sure that there were no duplicate invites. And even that turned out to be a political nightmare! Then my assistant wanted to have an office one (a tradition at the office) and so did dh's. The sad part being we really didn't need anything. I only tell you this because it ended up being a rather awful stress on dh and I (all the wrangling for the invite they wanted etc). So my only advice is to chat with her first so she does not feel bad about it. I personally loved the love that went into the shower planning from all sides, but I hoped many times that one or all four would cancel! Apparently ds heard me because he came before the final three were to be held and then he was too I'll for me to be involved in a shower type party after birth. Bless that boy lol. A person as old as your loved one might want to invite special friends as well as family so try to give her the opportunity? And whatever you do don't invite Ron and Jeanette! (ok bad flashback lol). I think what you are doing is lovely (as long as it does not include shower games or those cheap pastel mints in diapers made of felt and paraffin).

Hi Sue, We've always been a one dog family, but added a Frenchie to the family when it became clear that our older Boxer was failing. DD was going to be heading to college, and I knew I needed someone to help me with the transition. It worked out really well and I think Rocket the Boxer taught Oscar the FrogDog a lot of things before he left us. I also think Rocket liked having someone to snuggle with in his last months. I went with a Frenchie partly because of the smaller size and lower energy level. Of course with English Bulldogs, you are starting out there. Having more people in the house is a definite advantage. Frenchies can be notoriously hard to house train, so the more people taking him out more often the better. I am in a couple of groups with Frenchie breeders and I know that several have had a lot of trouble with two females in a house, so maybe a male would be a good choice as a third. I'm sure you know a good breeder who does health testing is very important. There are a lot of breeders out there now breeding French Bulldogs for profit and with no regard for the standard or the health of the pups they are producing. A water closet (toilet) would require a minimum 3" diameter waste pipe from the 3rd floor continuously to the building drain or to a 3" soil stack. If the 3rd floor room was not pre-plumbed with a 3" soil stack, you are likley out of luck trying to retrofit one now. A shower also requires a 2" minimum drain pipe. If you do not have a minimum 2" of pipe already pre-plumbed to a waste stack or building drain it may not be worth trying to retrofit it now either. A wet bar sink would generally only have a 1 1/2" drain maximum.

I can only find one review of the Brizo Siderna Rain Shower Head. Does anyone have one and what do you think? Do you have other brands of rain shower heads that you love? My plumber only likes Delta/Brizo but I'm willing to consider others if anyone has recommendations.
