KitchenAid slide-in gas range
Comments (0)I am beginning a renovation and am looking at all KitchenAid appliances. Older reviews of KitchenAid ovens state that there is a problem with cleaning them which is related to fuses. I'm not sure if that problem still exists. Does anyone have a newer slide-in range? The model I am looking at is KGSS907S....See MoreQuestions about KitchenAid slide in range
Comments (1)Maryanne3, I don't have the gas range but the electric range. What I can say about the appliance is we've been very pleased with it. The burners heat up very quickly & food cooks very well in the oven. Actually the oven cooks food much faster than our previous range & I'm still trying to figure out correct cooking times. It's not a problem with cooking, by the way. I'm very pleased with our choice & it looks very nice in our new kitchen. HTH....See MoreSlide in double oven gas range - GE Cafe or New Kitchenaid?
Comments (7)We've had it for a few months and we haven't used all the features but for what we have used it for - it's been great. It looks great, the interior is huge, and we haven't had any issues cooking/baking with it. A few notes though - when baking, the knobs get very hot (because of their placement up front...might be an issue with kids around) and preheating seems to take a bit longer than my previous range but nothing intolerable. I've used the griddle once to make pancakes and because the burner is in the middle, the center ones cooked fine but the outer ones did not cook as well. I ended up just making the rest of the batch in a separate griddle pan and not sure if I'd really use it again. All I can think of at the moment - let me know if you have other specific questions and I can try to help....See MoreKitchenaid slide-in induction range scorched the wall
Comments (32)We just completed reno in our kitchen and installed a slide in kitchen aid range. The first use of the oven mirrors the comments above. The key is there is only one vent for release of smoke and heat and it is the second open slot on the left of the unit. In our case the heat release exposed our quartzite backsplash to extreme heat and yellow stained it. I had our stone man come back he elaborated that the vent and maximizing the heat vented to one slot is not ideal. I now put a trivet at an angle between the stove and the wall to deflect the heat and coupled with the installed vent seems to deflect but ideally is not a long term solution. My thoughts are that the design of the venting slots on the stove are not correct and need modification....See Morecaribbea
