Reports here on Gardenweb suggest the porcelain issue is very much still alive and kicking. One of the changes in Wolf's new ovens is a replaceable bottom. This is their attempt to solve the problems. The M series will have this, the L series does not. The NEW E series which is now available has it (with the stainless control panel), but the old E series does not (with the frosted glass control panel, which there might still be some left of). If you are going to buy Wolf I'd strongly recommend going with the new E series if you can't wait for the M. As for the double convection⦠I have 2 ovens with convection, am a pretty frequent oven user, and I never have used convection in both at once. If you're not sure and just think it would be nice to have, I think you'd probably be fine with convection in one. If you KNOW you need convection in both, I would go with the Electrolux Icon double. That is just my personal opinion, I would not want to deal with the porcelain issue even if Wolf stands behind their product. Then again, I am not a huge user of convection. I think it's a nice thing to have, but I also think that it's overrated. Wolf does better than average with it because of the 2 fans, but according to the manufacturers it's a miracle that you can use to cook anything on as many racks as you want and have everything come out perfectly even. The fact is, it works well with some foods and less well with others. And 3 rack baking does not always work out as well as manufacturers would have you believe, convection or not. There won't be many reviews of the Benchmark series because they didn't come out very long ago. I do know at least one person on this forum has one though, and they love it. Cooktop: To be honest I don't really like gas cooktops so I'm not too familiar with the different offerings out there. If I had to buy one I would get Bluestar or Thermador because I believe they have the best burner designs (most powerful and most even). There are other factors to consider though like grates and burner/control layout and unfortunately I think both of those have center controls. I think the best thing you can do here is go to a showroom and maybe bring your pans. Personally I prefer induction cooktops, or, if it has to be gas, a rangetop. Hood: It's a fan in a metal box. Not much to go wrong. Buy the one that you like the looks, features and price of. Stay away from the no-name, obviously made in China ones that are only available online. Dishwasher: Bosch vs. Miele is a tossup. They are both good quality, Miele slightly more so but with a price to match. Again pick the one with the looks and features you want with a price you can afford. Make sure to bring your dishes to the showroom and make sure the racks will work for you. Fridge: What type do you need? Freestanding/built in/integrated? What width? French door/single door? bishop, I hope antss can help you more here. Kuppersbusch hasn't made a firm impression here in the US (assuming you're in the US) so you're right that it is hard to get more informed topical views here. I'm predisposed to like them and their products. My parents have some Kuppersbusch things and they are still alive and well 30+ years on. (That said, my mother still has a Baby Belling stove! and Molineux small appliances all of which are now ~ 30 - 40 years old - and Belling is no fancy brand ;-) ). I believe Kuppersbusch is considered fairly upmarket but I've no idea which of their products they manufacture themselves - perhaps Antss will give his more educated views here. Speaking for myself, this is the one brand that I've always considered first when shopping for any given appliance. Rightly or wrongly, they give the feeling that they are designed by [German] engineers for [German] engineers with nary a marketing person in sight - the picture of teutonic efficiency. Gaggenau, at 50 times the price is the other brand that evokes (evoked - I haven't comparo shopped appliances in almost 5 years) the same feeling of solid adherence to engineering above anything else. However, K'busch sizes are odd for America - 24" or 36" ovens - that's it! Not a 27", not a 30". Cooktops were 22" or 33" or something like that (although a quick look online today shows they have 30" and 36" units). Their gas cooktops - for that was what I'd been considering 4+ years ago when I did my remodel were too wimpy (11KBTU and 13KBTU peak) for me to go for. Dishwasher - I didn't seriously consider it because I was going to be reusing my tried nad true Bosch unit - not sure if this is right or not, but something gave me the impression that it was a rebadged Bosch or Siemens - no idea if that is right or not. Coffeemaker - I understand that these were the blokes who came out with the inbuilt residential coffee/espresso machine idea (not that I think there's much brownie points to be had for that first, mind you) and that Dacor uses or used K'busch to make their espresso machines for them and have them badged as Dacor. Not sure if that still holds good but it was quite plain to see a few years ago. I believe these were really good units, too. So, while I looked at K'busch first for ovens (sizes put me off), cooktop (were I to get induction, I firmly believe that these are the ones I'd get, but gas was unimpressive), DW (didn't choose this), espresso machine (didn't get one at all - not an inbuilt one anyhow), we wound up not getting any of them. So, is that an endorsement? Not sure, but I still think that they are a solidly satisfying product - generally speaking.

^You haven't seen anything bad about it because there really isn't anything bad or good to see yet, LOL. It's a brand new design. It looks like an awesome oven based on their website. Whether you should buy one depends on whether you are willing to help the manufacturer test their product in the field. It didn't seem that the rollouts of the RNB and Platinum ranges went quite as planned, hopefully this oven will be different. If I were redoing my kitchen, and I had it in the budget, I would probably give it a try. I guess I'm just the "early adopter" type. I like playing around with new stuff like that. So far I've tried 2 unproven appliances, KA steam assist oven and GE Profile french door fridge, I have not regretted either choice. However I am aware the majority of people do NOT enjoy being beta testers so even thought I might take the risk, I could not recommend that anyone buy a product like this so early on unless they are very aware what they are getting into.
