Tell us more about your kitchen - size, layout, and scope of work. Part of what makes your posted pic so beautiful is the huge window and all the light it lets in, plus the high ceilings and arched doorway. You can certainly emulate this look, but you need to think more about how it translates into your actual space. Different wood tones in a smaller, darker space with less ceiling height may not read as beautifully as they do here.

Combinations are endless and depend on a lot of factors in regards to where/how to mix: size, layout, island (or not), potentially adding or reconfigurating, etc.

I’m a big fan of Vivirdesign (on Instagram). Don't limit to just kitchen pictures; if you see rooms or exteriors you are drawn to and they have a symbol (see below) in upper corner, there may be kitchens Pics as well. Be sure to note counters, backsplash, flooring (vs just your layering and color focus) as that will really help at next stage when having to make those decisions. Show the designer your ideas, so they get a sense of what you are aiming for.

Kendrah provides great insight about your inspiration picture. Also note that the picture looks over exposed (see how the window frame fades to almost nothing?) which makes it all look light and bright. Please live with large samples of as much as you can (cabinet doors, counters, tile, paint samples on large poster boards, etc.) in your own space and see what you think in different light, at different times of day.

Why do you think the cabinets are light gray? Did the owner/designer of the kitchen say that?

I would say that the cabinets are painted SW Pure White or BM Chantilly Lace.

I have those Morris pendants and the glass is pretty white and they are very close to the cabinet color, which is why I say the cabinets are white.

I was also thinking that I don’t see gray cabinets in the OP’s pic; they are white on my screen. I also don’t see anything Mediterranean about it. What makes this kitchen’s look are the very high ceilings, the beautiful white oak column and white oak cabinetry that are custom-made, and the beautiful wood floors. Get those 3 elements and you will have a kitchen that can look similar to your inspiration photo.

@kendrah thank you! It’s a gut reno so we still haven’t decided on a layout but it will be large, vaulted ceilings, and putting in large windows. We live in CA so it’ll be quite sunny most of the year.

if you're doing wood floor, go for the oak herringbone or talavera tile on stairs w/wrought iron

Sun in CA and you might want brighter color around. Before I forget here's a stool or color option for the palette. Dark wood nice if in an "appealing spot" but that's a small detail for later.

Maybe this which is pretty-- I suppose there are distinctive Med. features in furniture, etc. that might work well, but within a softly muted color group.
