We have double insulated steel with a remote automatic garage door opener, and have been very pleased with them. They look like new a decade later. Our house is not really organic looking, so the doors blend well with its eclectic mix of building materials, but I would think that a coat of paint would make them look more natural. We left ours unpainted. My past experience with wood is that it is great for interior use, but warps and deteriorates quickly when exposed to the elements, and only slightly less quickly when pressure treated.

Very cute house! I think an olive green on the door and tan shutters (to match window trim and posts) would look wonderful.
