I have Caesarstone pebble in the honed finish. The warranty is approximately the same as for the polished finish according to CS. It doesn't cover things like metal marks and fingerprints which show more easily on honed finishes but easily go away. The rest of the warranty is the same. I've had it for 9 mths now. I've been waiting to give a review until it was in use for a year b/c someone on these boards made that suggestion about all counter surfaces so I decided to wait. But 9 mths in I love it! Seriously love it. When we were deciding on the honed finish I called CS with many questions about their honed finish. One thing the person I spoke with said was that almost all their complaints about the honed finish came from people with dark counters, not those with lighter ones. I believe fingerprints are a lot more pronounced on dark honed counters, and CS doesn't offer their darker colors in the honed finish anymore. On the lighter counters it's really not an issue imo. Yes, fingerprints show, but only in some lights and not all over the counters by any means. I generally have to look for them. The honed finish is soft, silky and warmer to the touch than the polished finish. It cleans like a dream, just like the CS polished finish. Most oils wipe right up with a damp sponge. Fingerprints wipe away that easily also. Sometimes it takes a bit more effort to get rid of oils but then it's a quick spray of a countertop cleaner, wipe and the oil is gone. I have CS raven, which only comes in the polished finish, in a bathroom. The raven shows every water drop and every water ring, but not fingerprints. It cleans easily but the matte finish of the pebble doesn't show these like the polished at all. A bit but much much more subtly. I do get metal marks sometimes, which look like shiny silver lines. Kind of pretty actually. They usually wipe away or slowly fade in a day or two. To find which CS colors come in the honed finish, choose a color then scroll down to technical info. You'll see a finishes option, and there you'll see if it comes in both honed and polished, or polished only. Pebble, dreamy marfil, london grey and frosty carrina all come in both. Probably others too.

Hi! All of your comments are helpful. We are currently shopping for a kitchen countertop and I'm ready to pull my hair out! Right now, there are 11 samples of quartz countertops in our kitchen. We really like a Caesarstone rough matte 'Airy Concrete' that seems to be standing up to our testing so far, but I'm not sure after reading many negative comments about matte surfaces on various internet sites. We also really like a polished quartz from European Aleanza "upper west side". Since we are getting high gloss white cabinets, were thinking of going with a more matte surface. Now I'm not sure. We really want low maintenance. We visited a European Aleanza showroom here in NJ, and it looks really nice. Anyone familiar with this company?

That matte tile looks lovely! I love tile, I actually prefer it to hardwood to be honest, maybe because I grew up in Florida, but I just think it’s more durable. I have five kids (had all of them in 4.5 years) and it was never a problem with my kids slipping on tile in any house they grew up in UNTIL we moved to our current house. By that time, they were all young teens and preteens, but this house has a huge foyer that originally had shiny, slippery, white tile in it. Everyone except my hubby busted at least once on that tile, even with a rug at the entrance! Thankfully, we didn’t have any serious injuries that resulted in long term issues, but I was initially worried about that when I slipped and fell down straight only one of my knees! We replaced the tile, now I have a stone look, dark charcoal, matte tile with matching charcoal grout and I couldn’t be happier! I also despise the sweaty footprint marks left on glossy floor surfaces whether it’s tile or hardwood. (My hardwood is glossy... eventually it’ll be refinished and I’m going with a non glossy finish for sure!) So yeah, for floor tile I would never go with a slick finish, it needs some grip!

Silestone El Calacatta Gold Suede is a great way to tie in warm and cool tones and the matte finish gives it a more sophisticated, natural look in our opinion. With your light maple cabinetry this is a much better complement than the original quartz you posted - without any warmth they looked like an afterthought. With your new selection you have brought the netral tones together and you should be confident going forward!
