Resurrecting this old thread because we ended up with a house that has a pretty unattractive Tuscan Traditional kitchen with the worst style -- cathedral for uppers (except one door that was maybe too narrow for the arch???), salmon/rust granite countertops that go up the walls on all four walls (bet that cost a lot), and yellowish floor tile, peach walls and ceiling AND sanded skip trowel walls/ceiling... it's so completely not the style of the house overall. And I'm going to be living with it as is I hope I can stop seeing it after a while because the only thing I can change easily is the wall color. Its the kitchen where our kids will learn to cook and I won't be stressing out about whether or not they are working carefully not to make a mess... can't ever tell if there's a mess because the busy granite counter has so much going on already! And there are boxes and boxes of extra floor tiles, maybe they were on clearance...

@Alice, I too see some yellow in Chantilly Lace in some situations/lighting. @Lori A Sawaya, do you happen to know the spectral data for stock white Cabinet Coat? I have read it described as bluish, or grayish. I'm looking for a white that doesn't look yellow in my laundry room, which has no natural light (or maybe a tiny bit contributing from distant bedroom west window during the day), and is lit with 2 high-CRI Feit LED bulbs. Even with the (relatively?) "high" CRI of the LEDs, colors look vastly different than in rooms with windows -- with yellow greatly intensified. I have found several of the BM colors in this thread, like Super White and White, look pretty much "just white" in my laundry room. I also really like BM White Diamond, which is a little darker (grayer) than Super White. I also have to complain a little bit -- even different BM chips of the SAME color do not match. Here I am agonizing over the differences between colors, when paint coloring technology can't even match its own chips, or different samples of the "same" color closely enough for my eye to see them as the "same" color.

Your new kitchen sounds like my new kitchen :) Montauk has a grey tone to it. It’s not as creamy as some of the other veiny options. I think a creamy white with some grey in it , would work. Also, some slightly richer whites look great with it too, because it also has some warm tones in it. I’ve seen it with Benjamin Moore’s Natural Cream, which is beautiful, but IMO it would also look nice with Cloud Cover, White Dove or Revere Pewter. Sherwin Williams Repose Grey or Accessible beige would be nice also. (I’m not as familiar with SW whites, sorry). We are going with a stock colour somewhere in between White Dove and Cloud Cover (BM). Hope this helps! I know how difficult this can be! Good Luck! Also, please share any ideas on backsplashes. Wow you did a lot of work I would suggest the cabinets going over the counters. Use glass front doors. If you do not want to see in there are hundreds of glass to stop that from happening. There is too much grey. The wall facing the garden could have a great fun palm frond, colorful flowers etc. Joy is needed color that will make you smile. Look at Pinterest Google wallcoverings for kitchen. The addition of a shelf holding plants, herbs would bring in green life and more light. The inside cutout I would add led lighting around the interior . Find 3 colors you like. You have 1 here grey2 is the cabinet doors I am not sure what color that is? And the accent. Once I see the "blue" we can find a color to add. Then paint inside your cutout and light it up.Bright color chairs will help at the counter. Green yellow red navy .
