Pine Floor Restoration/ sanding… now what?

I was a bad bad historic homeowner against my husbands advice. I standed down my pine floors in hopes of it being the starter project to the rest of the home. I threw down a hd provincial stain, smelled up the house and then came on here and learned how very wrong I was. I want to restore the historic charm, HELP!

I am sanding by hand/ I will not be touching my beautiful 1949 red oak that has aged to yellow/ golden hue. (I originally wanted to sand it all and stain in but now I’ve learned that it’s historic and I love it for that. My pine kitchens I WAS going to rip up and replace to match..: but they are historic too!

I have apologized to my floors, I am lovingly sanding my crappy stain choice off of the floors by hand. Now please help me wood floor experts? Bona drifast? Do I need a conditioner? Should I just go to a floor place and let them guide me?? Nobody will quote my job because it’s too small, so they try to talk me into sanding the rest of the house and I refuse!
