Air vent in the way?

I’m looking to hang a 30x30 acrylic frame that has 4 hanging points, one on each corner. The white template hanging in this picture is where it would go. You can see there’s an air vent that must go up through the wall right where 2 of the hanging points would be. If I drilled holes to hang it would that damage the air vent?

Why do you not show how 4 hanging points are needed are you sure it is just not allowing for the pice to be hung in different directions I have never hung a pice of art with 4 hanging points . As for the vent I have no idea of how heavy the art is so not sure how deep you need to drill maybe command hooks would be abetter choice and BTW paint that vent the same color as the wall please.If those are fake flowers get them gone and use real I buy flowers every week at the supermarket they are cheap and so much better than fake or dried

Show us the back of the item you want to hang. If it's light enough you might be able to get away with Command Strips

They want an air hole/vent in addition to a service panel. The manual says: The service access panel is often the best place to install the air vent. They also state that if you remote mount the motor in a closet,(which looks like you did), there must be at least 1 in. gap between floor and door. Apparently there could be an issue of the motor overheating without the air vent. ??? The tub we're ripping out has an access panel with a vent in the middle of it... like a furnace air return vent. The new tub will be across the room, though. I can remote mount up to 15 feet but then I'm worried about the air cooling off on its way over. The air flow is 75cfm at maximum speed. Chosen space must be at least 50 ft to the third power -- There's an example of 3' x 2'2" x 8' = 52ft to the 3rd. The tub is going to be set in an 84 x 54 deck with the motor tucked under the end. Is that big enough? lol-my eyes are crossing! They recommend an ambient room temperature between 72-86 degrees. Have you used your tub? Does your closet area get hot?

Will it effect it? Yes. How much depends on the cfm of the fan and the length run. However, switch to a 6" and not worry about it. I have 6 and 8-inch from Fantech. BTW, don't be suprised if birds still find their way in there. Put on 1/4' mesh screen over the opening if it doesn't already have it. With a dryer however you still may collect some lint on the screen so keep your eye on it if you go this route. Here is a link that might be useful: 6-inch

Best way to repair/install attic vent baffles (air chutes)?

Get some new chutes and a good staple gun. Possibly a hardhat to keep from sticking your head with roofing nails,A few wide boards that span at least 2 ceiling joists so you can lay on them and a LOT of patience. Yank out the cracked ones and try restapling the loose ones. The fiberglass will decompress after you get off of it. It ain"t a fun job I've done it in 2 houses now. Ended up with a few nail sticks in my head. First time I did i was in my late 20's Didn't bother me much then, except the fact it was a low pitched hip roof. Did it again last year at a different house, and i'm in my late forty's, bothered me a lot that time. Takes a lot of flexability to do it. It's a big pain in the a-s job but it needs to be done. Don't try straddling ceiling rafters. Just asking for more work (foot through ceiling)

It’s an acrylic gallery frame. Probably weighs about 15lbs

Take the cover off the vent. Does the duct go up or down?

You should have no trouble using this plastic anchor sized to the thickness of your drywall.

maybe change to artwork and use the Command Picture Hanging Strips. I swear by them!

You're not going to damage the vent.

I hung two smaller frames exactly like the one you want to use, so I know how the frames work. You should not have a problem with the air vent.
