DH has the same set up in his bathroom that we're remodeling. I have the 3-light fixture but not the mirror yet. It will be 32" wide. Vanity is 36" but against a wall on one side and we don't want the framed mirror butted up against the wall. I was a bit surprised that the globes were as large as they are. Thanks for the insights. I do not plan to have hutches but likely at least a console/buffet. The round table is more elegant versus oval and based on measurements it should fit well in the room. But I will revisit this before we make anything since that is permanent. Let me go back to the designer as well. My understanding is we will have about 4' to 5' between walls and table before any buffet/console and the console will be less than 24". Again, I want to make sure we think through all of this as I don't want remorse after a custom table is made. Certainly there are more tables that become ovals when enlarged but I do not find them quite as beautiful or elegant as a large round table. hmmm. . . I appreciate your thoughts and everyone else's too. And we do have other RH fixtures but not exclusive (we have a lot of visual comfort too) and none are similar. And yes the designer recommended and I envision art between the sconces.

I think you want the ability to brightly illuminate the space without having lights shining into your eyes. An overhead can light makes for really unflattering and uncomfortable lighting over a sink. They are fine in the shower. My personal preference is for a bar over the sink that bounces 70-80% of its light off the ceiling for a bright but more diffuse effect, switched separately from the sconces so you don't get the Millennium Falcon effect when you get up in the night and turn the light on.

@Home Owner Thank you for your help!. Glad you like the sconces as we do, too. We are thinking the current painting is a bit small. So, perhaps rather than centering them horizontally between edge of small painting and edge of upper fireplace wall, we might move them over enough to the edge of the fireplace wall to accommodate a larger pic in the future. What height would you hang the fireplace picture. Would you centre that vertically from ceiling to top of mantel or a bit lower than centre. We do want to make sure we can place some items on the mantel. @calidesign Thanks for your input. The decision to put in a hearth was made years ago (this has been the longest DIY project in history - 9 years!) We prefer the more traditional look of a hearth vs the more modern look of no hearth. Even if we had changed our minds, the hardwood floor has been done and the height of the firebox was installed with a hearth in mind, and we are fine with these past decisons.
