Grand kids, parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle excursion ride powered by a locomotive built in 1949. They were so little back then. This was their second time. The first time DGS had to be held on our laps. But I can't find the pics.

Two day Skeena train run from Jasper AB to Prince Rupert BC. in 2013. It serves several remote communities, including Penny which was the last post office in Canada to rely on rail service for their mail. Residents meet the train on quads. It’s my favourite VIA train route.

jmm, my very good friend worked for Levi Strauss and she got to go to Austrailia to visit their plant/offices there and I believe she went to Alice Springs to visit a wildlife center? Would that be right? It was a long time ago but I remember it well.

I absolutely love trains. I have always wanted to take the train across Canada. It's so beautiful there. I did get to take Amtrak (in the 70's) from San Francisco to Cincinnati and back again. It was heaven and we even had to sleep in our chairs and I didn't mind. Of course I was young. LOL

A few years ago I rode the train at the zoo. Of course it's made mostly for kids, so the fit was a little snug, but it was fun.
