I have a friend on a ranch who did this in one of the guest room bathrooms. It was very awkward to me when I brushed my teeth. I choose a different bedroom / bathroom now when I visit.

I assume the faucet swivels so it can serve both sinks. But this is too rustic for me, and looks backbreaking to use.

No possible way ! Those tubs are noisy and hard to clean, and I wouldn't hang towels on a beat up old ladder, even scrubbed clean. I suppose this is someone's skewed idea of old-fashioned country look, but no country person would ever want this mess in their bathroom.

Looks very cool...... But have you ever tried to clean and maintain wooden items in a wet environment? How would you clean between the basins? How much water is going to miss the tubs and splash around. How are the towels going to dry? I’m afraid that impracticality is always what hits me first with any trendy home decor pictures.

It's cute but not for a major bath people use. A beach house or mountain cabin.

The raw, aged wood looks like a problem. Hang a damp towel or washcloth on them, and I expect they would get stained.

We have a washtub like that in our pumphouse at the lake cabin but don't use it much. I use it to soak and wash my smoker grates and rib rack a few times a year.

Nice to have a sink like that to rinse out paint brushes and scrub barbecue grill.

I think it's adorable...for a magazine layout photo....but...I would NOT want to own it. It's just not practical....wear and tear issues....cleanliness......that sort of thing.

I considered getting a copper sink...and decided it was too hard to keep real copper clean. 😀

I think it's cute but probably not so practical to actually have and use. I'm from Texas and lived in the more central part for a while and loved all that cutesy stuff in the restaurants and shops around there. I wouldn't really want it in my house though but wouldn't mind the sink for the basement laundry area.

No - it reminds me of a barn, and I do not have fond memories of barns. It also just looks rather impractical to me, especially if you have other more efficient options.

I like the small wall hanging and the mirror, but that's about it. The galvanized tubs look especially impractical, unless you are using them for hand washing clothes or watering horses.

I love everything, but the sink. Several people have mentioned how impractical that would be to use and clean.

Why? They have very little difference to that of a deep stainless steel sink. And you can use one of those perfectly well for any bathroom ablutions........

And I don't have much of an issue with the ladder or wooden "towel rack" either. When we remodeled a previous bathroom some years ago, we chose oak wood fixtures for the towel racks, medicine cabinets and toilet seat. They were popular then :-)

I can understand someone not liking this look, but it very likely functions perfectly well. I think folks are just making up excuses to justify their opinions.....which is completely unnecessary. If you don't like it, you don't like it - that's all the rationale you need!!

Maybe this is a mudroom? I have a deep porcelain sink in mine that was for washing vegetables brought into the house and servicing vases of flowers and such. I would never use galvanized tubs though. I even have porcelain in my garden shed area. It was an old porcelain shower base from a rooming house in Chicago. It is about six inches deep and five feet or so long. galvanized metal is rough and would be the very pits to clean.

I kind of love it. I would happily have it in any of the more utilitarian areas of my home. Laundry or mud room, porch sinks, canning kitchen :)

I wouldn't want it as the regular kitchen sink or bathroom sink- too big and deep to be pratical in my kitchen or bathrooms.

Yes, for a laundry room or garage. . I would love one by my outdoor facet at camp. The used ones go for $$. It's no different to clean than any other wash tub.

If they're galvanized, cleaning's harder I would expect, and of not galvanized, they'll rust.

Galvanized steel will rust and is very different from stainless steel.

Sinks are normally sloped toward the drain. If these are common tubs with a hole cut in the center for a drain line, then the bottoms are flat and water will remain standing. This will shorten the life compared to a tub in a more typical situation that's turned over to empty and dry after use.

Stainless steel sinks (which I also do not like or want) are seamless, and the galvanized pans have seams, which makes it more difficult to clean them. I also imagine that they do not drain as well or as easily, although I consider that a minor issue to the right angle interior corners between the bottom and the sides. That is my main problem with them.

Not for me. There's something about the feel of galvanized metal I can't stand...almost like biting into foil. We have buckets we use around here and I never want to touch them outright...fine if I'm wearing gloves. So definitely not for me.
