What about a counter depth Fisher & Paykel? RF201ADW5 N

No water or ice, about $3k.

I bought an 800 series from Bosch, but I wanted ice/water + counter depth + stainless. There are separate compressors for the fridge and freezer.

Second the Fisher Paykel recommendation. My parents put in a 32" model several years ago, it's been great for them.

Spell-check is part of the user's web browser software on his or her phone or computer. It's not coded into the website he or she is visiting.

Take a look at your device's keyboard settings ... turn off autocorrect (related to word duplication), and make sure that spell check is on.

I wass using an external key board yesterdayy but as I see thius morning its still not working with my apple lappp top. Not a read line in sight.

BTW I think that Fridge listed above it the ticket. What do you think Dadoes? I know you like this brand in a washer.

Further investigation finds that a given website can disable spell checking on entry fields by programming a code attribute "spellcheck=false" onto the fields but I don't find that coding on Gardenweb. I, in fact, find specific code for "spellcheck=true." I don't have automatic spell-check enabled in my browser but can do it manually, which does work on this entry I'm typing. The only word it tags is Gardenweb.

The thing is, there are so many other issues with this site using an iPad or iPhone…no automatic capitalizations, select/copy and paste often doesn't work…are two more. This is the only site not compatable with iOS. It’s a Houzz problem, not Apple’s. Never had an issue with the Gardenweb. And, Houzz worked fine, until the past year.

Yeah, I could disable auto-correct. That would solve the word duplication. But, the many other issues would still exist. And, when I‘d leave this site, I’d have to return to settings to turn auto-correct back on. A royal pain to have to repeat many times a day.

Reality check. Fisher Paykel has less than 1% of the market share in the U.S. In Nebraska Fisher Paykel lists 16 authorized service centers and 11 are Lowe's. I'm nearly positive Lowe's doesn't do appliance repairs, only sales. So why Fisher Paykel includes box store retailers as service centers is beyond me. My point is this, make sure authorized service is even available for warranty work and if you ask the lowe's sales person insist knowing who.

On this site people throw out Bosch, Miele, Fisher Paykel and sometimes Beko and know nothing about them, with opinions based on my Bosch works good, or a uncle"s friend had one and loves it. But together these four brands add up to less than 3% of the U.S market. Beko has a service rate of 30% under warranty, Bosch 15%, and on the other side of the spectrum LG service rate is less than 5% and Samsung service rate is 8% under warranty but together have about 25% of the market share.

Find a refrigerator from the leaders in the market, that are reliable and have a large service and parts infrastructure, and resist niche brands.

I have a different Fisher & Paykel fridge (32" single door), and it's a very nice refrigerator. Super consistent temperature, well made, etc. The handles being at the bottom of the interior drawers take some getting used to, but the drawers slide nicely and all.

If I had a complaint, I wish the bins on the door held a gallon depth botttle, but that's minor; I can use the top shelf. Maybe that's a counter depth thing, though ... we always used to have full depth.

Thanks, I have a Nebraska Furniture Mart in town. That could be an option for service. I live near the Des Moines Metro area, so there are lots of services available. I really like the looks of the fisher & paykel that was listed above and it meets my esthetic and dimentional needs too.

I had terrible experience with the Samsung that I have now. After it breaking down 2 times in the first 16 months I had it, needing all the cooling system replaced, twice, I am not a fan. I still have it, as they must have repaired it with a working system that hasn't failed over that last 10 years. The seals are breaking down, and the french door is now touchy. I don't like the depth nor the ice maker that is in my way, in the freezer. Like I said, I don't have the water system in place, and I don't ever use ice. I have one ice tray in the freezer, and I periodically have to throw the ice out because it evaporates, sublimates.

Enduring, just adding be sure to check and see where warranty service is offered in your area. i.e. We're somewhat rural and the closest Miele warranty service is two hours+ away. That doesn't mean I couldn't get an appliance serviced, but it does mean a longer wait being scheduled and possibly without a working appliance if something should malfunction in it....

I don't want to be a few weeks without a refrigerator, or washer, or even dishwasher as much as I'd love a Miele dishwasher in my kitchen ;)

I have had two Fisher Paykel refrigerators, and I highly recommend them. I had the first for over ten years, and it never needed repair.
Last year, I needed a new refrigerator for my kitchen renovation, and without hesitation, I chose FP again. They offer a combination of aesthetics and price that is unmatched, IMO.

@kevin9408…depends where you live in this country. In my neck of the woods…North Shore of Long Island, Bosch or Miele dishwashers are the norm. You’ll also find many more Sub Zero fridges here, than other brands. Likewise for Miele and Bosch ovens (along with Wolf).

If you live in a major metropolitan area, you’re likely to have several independant appliance stores, so you don't have to shop at Best Buy, Lowe’s or HD. Independent stores will have their own authorized service people to service what you call ”niche” high end brands. Or, they’ll have a sourced list of authorized repair businesses for these brands.

Your service figures are way out of whack. What is your source? Any number of folks here can tell you about the many issues their Samsung fridges have had, just a few months after installation. My sister in law couldn’t wait to get rid of hers. Samsung’s customer service is notoriously awful to non-existent. You know what company has the best customer service? Sub Zero, hands down. How do I know? 31 years of experience with the brand. Our first SZ was still going strong at 25 yo, when we sold that house. In our “new“ home, our SZ is now 6 years old, and has been problem free.

As for for Fisher and Paykel, I’ve never known anyone who’s owned one of their fridges. But, if I lived in Nebraska, I’d want to make darn sure I could get it serviced quickly, and by an authorized repair person. While F&P is far less costly than a SZ, Miele or Bosch, $4,000 is still a substantial amount of moolah.

@Darbuka I don't Live In Nebraska. I live in Iowa. Near Des Moines, a major meto area, (for the midwest). As far as service, my samsung repair was a 2 week wait due to part availablity. Service was right out. This was about 10 years ago. I'm sure there are many factors that contribute to difficulties getting service. Back in the day I'd have Amana fridges and deep freezes, made in Iowa but that is way old history. Same with Maytag, my old top loader I bought in 1988 is on its 3 owner (SIL) and still running just fine.

One other thing about the 2 Fisher Paykels that were referenced on this thread, do the doors hold a 1 gallon jug of milk?
