Getting an oil stain out of stained concrete
Comments (0)Help!! We just recently had stained concrete countertops put on our outdoor cabinets on our patio. My husband fried fish last night and got cooking oil on the counter. This morning I saw the oil and tried to wipe it off and it did not come off. Does anyone have an idea of how to clean this grease off? I'm afraid to use other suggestions about getting grease and oil out of concrete because this is "stained" concrete. It was sealed so I don't know why the grease stayed. Thanks!...See MoreRe-Sealing concrete patio
Comments (0)My stamped concrete & flagstone patio have lost it's shine. It also has hard water white stains from the sprinklers. Does anyone have suggestions for the proper way to remove the hard water stains & then a good product to use to re-seal? Comments (2)I have what I think is the same aggregate for my driveway (1969 home). I am thinking about getting stamped concrete put directly on top of my existing driveway. They use an abrasive cleanser, then pour a thin layer of concrete over the existing, make designs with a trowel or rubber stamp and then stain it. It is a great option, especially if you want to set chairs on the patio and don't like to rock from the uneven flagstone. If you do it yourself, careful with the stain, it is a one shot deal and my wife wishes I would have found that out before I did our front porch. -joe...See MoreNeed to remove grease stain from granite
Comments (18)That should work. If it doesn't try a poultice of plaster of paris and acetone. Cover with plastic wrap with blue tape around it until it's dry. Cover at least an inch around larger than the stain. When it's dry, the stain should be better, if not completely gone. If it's working, do it again until resolved. Found this answer here at Houzz. Our granite was sealed when it was installed, but we found that it stained easily. We resealed with Tenax Pro Seal after pulling the stain out. We haven't had a problem since....See Moretvq1
