This is the first time I got seeds from the USA. The experience is good and bad. I am happy that there was no duty on a purchase of USD 8.70. I got five packages of seeds. The shipping costs was $5.93, averaging $2.9 per package including one of the seeds I could not find in any online stores in Canada. But I have learned that if one of the seeds is on back order, the order would not be sent until all seeds are in. When I cancelled the back order seeds, the operator promised to replace the back order seeds with another one which is at a lower price than the two combined. However, when I called again later on I was told that it was not included in the shipment because they could not add seeds to an existing order. When I asked to speak to a manager two times, nobody ever called me back. The name of this company is Park Seed. So if you want to order anything from them, please speak to a person by phone instead of doing it online to make sure that all the seeds you want is already in its warehouse so that you can make an order that is good for the shipping cost and below $20 to avoid complication in duty charge also.

I purchased 3 Kohler sinks online from Home Depot because it was the cheapest, delivered in 3 days with no problems. Home Depot and Lowes carry quality products however most of their high end items are online, if it is the same model# then it is exactly the same product. Two weeks ago I purchased bath fixtures with Amazon because they had the best price, no problems. I have been a fan of Amazon for some time now, never have had any problems with them but I also want the best deal. I wanted to buy a light fixture at Ferguson's but it was more than I wanted to spend. I checked online right from their store on my phone, showed the sales person how much it was on Amazon and he sold it to me for $30.00 cheaper including tax and shipping. I still have not tried homeclick and curious if anyone has opinions about them?

We did our entire backsplash with Oceanside tile. We got them at the local Pratt and Larson, in the outlet section. We had looked at the Oceanside tiles in the retail section, and they were about $80-100/sq ft. We got really lucky and found tiles that we liked even more in the outlet section, and they had enough for our entire backsplash at $18/sq ft. They were on sale because of a manufacturing/packing error... The tiles are supposed to be irridescent, but randomly interspersed throughout the box were a sheet or two of non-irridescent tile. You can't tell if it's irridescent or not until you install the sheet and take the paper backing off, which is a huge pain in the a$$. So, they had to put the entire shipment on clearance. In 4 boxes, we only ended up with one sheet that was incorrect, and by pure luck, that sheet ended up behind the range, so you can hardly see it, so we didn't even bother ripping it out like we would have if it went somewhere more prominent. Anyways, that was a long way of suggesting that you might try Pratt & Larson's outlet, if they have a retail location near you. Sometimes you can find great deals and discounts.

eks, I was having plugmold installed on my island yesterday and was sick when I saw the result, so I googled it to find pictures and a possible solution. In my search, I found several GW threads which had some links in them, some of which seemed to be online sources but I didn't look closely. I don't have them up but if you google plugmold or plugmold power strip and look at the results, either on p 1 or p 2 should be several GW threads. There is also a place within that result to click "More results on this site". Also, the pm my electrician got is distinctly off-white. I asked him if it came in other colors. He said no, but the painter could paint it. Now, I'm not putting much stock in his base of knowledge about various options. I've found that most tradespeople who work with my GC use one or maybe a small handful of products and don't even look at what else is available. He didn't admit until I pushed and pushed that the junction box didn't need to be sticking out further, or that there was another slim option that didn't have to have the big box. He finally agreed to extend the strip to cover the wires and eliminate the box. Nice guy, but he and his crew have no idea about aesthetics and just do what they are told. (You'd think they'd come find me and say "This is sticking way out, are you sure this is what you want?" but they just go ahead without any thinking. Why would I want a beige 3" wide box extending from my white white cabinets under my black granite?) Sorry for the vent. Gotta do it somewhere! Anyway, HTH!
