Thank you I'm new to all this! So I really appreciate the feedback. We are currently renting, but maybe to own depending on what we can turn it into. Trying to make something from nothing. It's something both me and my partner are interested in upcycling and would love to get into.

How do I edit?

Bailey, there are edit & delete buttons at the bottom right of an original post. If you can't delete your other thread, you can edit it to tag the test forum, then delete the kitchen tag. That moves the thread to the test forum, where newbies can practice uploading pics, videos, hot links, etc.. (cross-posted)

The best way to get help on this forum is to do a thumbnail sketch of the existing floor plan also showing adjacent rooms.

Indicate overall dimensions of each area/room. The go around the perimeter of the room indicating every measurement: Start in corner, > corner to window > window > window to wall to corner > corner to door > door > etc. You get the idea.

I would be happy to draw up a scaled floor plan.

One thing to remember is that there is no such thing as a cheap kitchen renovation. It's probably the most expensive reno in a home. The way to save $$ is to have a minimum of custom and drawers, stick with simple hardware and faucets and lighting. Spend the $$ on countertops and backsplash. Appliances are very personal as to how you like to cook, so you are your worst enemy!
