New Bar in Las Vegas area

Who needs a formal Living Room when you can have a bar?

The project took 3 months. Tile floor, ceiling soffit adjustments, rock walls, electrical and plumbing. We were fortunate to have a bathroom behind the main bar wall that allowed for easy access to water and drainage.

We went with DACOR appliances due to availability.

As it turns out Sub-Zero was a 6-month delay when we ordered, and by the time we were ready that availability would have moved months due to supply chain and demand issues. The DACOR is great, with some really innovative features - yet to be appreciated - including cameras in the refrigerator that show the contents of the shelves, and a water dispenser inside. The wine cooler provides the ability to adjust the temperatures of the 3-zone wine cooler. Both features available through a smart-phone app.

The wine cooler also has a presentation shelf in the middle with a little extra height. It comes with 3 bottle stands to allow for the presentation of 3 of your more special bottles, with a dedicated light to display them - above and beyond the full frame lighting when the door is open.

We opted for a True icemaker and Fisher & Paykel drawer dishwasher.

A must here was Reverse Osmosis under-sink water for the refrigerator water dispenser and the icemaker.

Like any major remodel there are always the upgrade decisions. My wife and I learned long ago to say yes to them if there's any question. (Avoid future regrets.)

And like any major remodel, the daily updates as construction moves along make every day like Christmas.

It may be hard to see, but Houzz was instrumental in many design aspects of this bar. And other than the major components, it's so nice to do so much purchasing on-line these days. Truly allows for customization of every aspect of a design.
