Design Dilemma Lighting Bathrooms

Need help picking the right size vanity light

Remodeling two bathrooms both with a 42” vanity. The one bathroom will have a 34 x 30 recessed medicine cabinet which will be framed (dimensions listed are the size without the frame) and the other bathroom will have either a 38” or 40” beveled mirror (still deciding). The placement in both bathrooms for the light will be above the of the mirror. Our project will be starting soon and looking back at the lights purchased I think they are going to be too small. Thanks
