Winter Wonder Land.....no it's just my squash leaves
Comments (5)I also doubt it's powdery mildew. But not because "we are and have been in the middle of a 100 degree + heat wave with no moisture in sight.", this because PM is a summertime disease which doesn't require free water on the leaves. Just 98% humidity within the plant canopy. Also because I don't see any leaf distortion or drying which commonly occurs with PM. Perhaps it's a wonderful job of normal leaf silvering. Keep us posted....See MoreJust wondering what you thought.
Comments (1)Here is a couple thoughts based on my experience. 1st those bulbs are good bulbs but they will need to be no higher than a few inches above your plants. To light a whole room 8x30 with enough light you will need a lot more light. 30-40 watts per sq ft or so. That would mean 7200 watts of lighting at least for your room. That will generate a lot of heat and will cost quite a bit to run. You will probably want to switch to HID bulbs too since they are more efficient than flouros. Indoor gardens that large and expensive might be better for more lucrative crops than lettuce (only in states where you are allowed of course)....See MoreJust wondering..
Comments (12)If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the ballot there is a warning note about what they consider "stuffing the ballot." ............................from the ballot............. SPEICAL NOTE TO LOCAL BUSINESSES: You are welcome to encourage your customers to vote for your business through in-store signage (available through Harrisburg Magazine), email blasts, advertising, newsletters, word-of-mouth, etc. Any business may purchase additional magazines from our regular distribution centers. Harrisburg News will have additional quantities. Please note that mass distribution of actual ballots will be considered stuffing and, if verified, the businesses will be disqualified....See MoreDo You Ever Wonder What the Neighbors Think? Comments (10)I swear at my cats a lot, especially when my male starts fighting with my elderly, arthritic female who can't really fight back. Can't tell you what I yell -- won't make it past the filters here ;) (no worries -- the cat just looks at me in return, with this look of "Oh yeah? Piss off." My yelling has little effect on his behavior, though he usually does stop fighting with the female for a little while.) I realized the other day that I was yelling with the window open, and instantly clammed up...hope the neighbors didn't hear me, because they'll certainly not think highly of me......See More- 4 years ago
