Comments (18)Dude get your head out of the sand and put on some big boy pants. You are the one that has to live here. And you are the one that will pay to reconstruct the house down the road when all of the leaking windows create mold and rot in the walls. I've seen that first hand. Fix it NOW. It's cheaper and easier than after the damage is done. It's a hell of a lot more important to get this right than to worry over which cheap cabinets with expensive details to pick. Comments (4)HI -- I strongly suggest getting an Architect to help you with this . Because of the style of your house you have to be careful of what is done . Comments (4)Wow, I’m not trying to be snarky, but I think invest in a really good outdoor rug to clean feet on and remove shoes, then just go put your shoes away. A little extra trouble but totally worth it. You have an incredible view, and there would not be anything I would do to obstruct that. That wall of windows, and really cool patio ... Comments (9)We already have to reframe the door because it was framed for a double door with a transom. That door came in and we hate it. We thought it was going to be taller but the height of the door slab was only 6’7”. I think either way, double door or single, the window looks too small for the space.
