Window Apron
This window feature hides an unsightly gap but can be decorative too
On a window the apron is the trim or molding that is placed underneath the stool or sill. It is used as a both a decorative and functional feature. Like the casing, it covers where the window's framework and the wall covering meet.
Aprons not only add detail, but hide the gap between the wall covering and the framework of the window.
This apron is built up and extends well below the bottom of the window.
Aprons add a finished look even to small windows.
