Flatten OSB for tile

Lis Cordner

I am prepping my small bathroom for tile and the OSB subfloor is uneven, up to 1/4". Wondering what people think is the best but also simplest way to flatten it. It seems options are:
Self leveling concrete (with primer and lath)
Embossing compound
Thinset (seems like this is not the best)
After leveling, say i use SLC and it ends up covering the whole area, do i need to then put a membrane on top?
Id like to raise the floor as little as possible since it is already pretty much level with the adjacent floor.
(I've already determined my floor is strong enough for tile.)
Thank you!
