Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

help needed on exterior white paint combos

Hello All,

I desperately need some advice on the outside design choices of my home. We have remodeled the entire interior and now it’s time
to do the outside. The new roof will be a dark charcoal flat concrete tile with white gutters.

I was thinking about painting the brick white but am lost on what to do with the 3 foot stucco band around the bottom of the house and the pillars on the back patio.

Any advice/ color combinations would be appreciated.

It's already dark with the overhang, I would paint the entire house the same white Bottom too, as you don't have much contrasting trim to speak of.Brighten it all up and make it look taller than it is, the roof is heavy, and looks like Florida? ... keep it fresh.

Thank you, it is in Boca Raton Florida, a house from the 80’s with brick and this terrible peach color on the bottom stucco band. It’s pretty terrible. Any specific white recommendation?

I did the samples and they honestly all look the same on the white dove background except for super white which looks super white. If I used super white for trim would that make the white dove look yellower or whiter? Still trying to figure out this color theory -- put a blue white next to a yellow white and the yellow reads more or less yellow? I also sampled brilliant white, super white and simply white for trim. Will see it tomorrow. What color trim did you use for your simply white house? Which finish for trim and body? My house is a mix of shingle, brick and wood (yes, seriously), so I am going flat for body, semi gloss trim.

It's hard to get pics with full sun but here is one in April sunlight. We really do like the Snowbound. I picked it and SW salesman said it's a great exterior white. When I told our painter he said it is by far the best SW white and he always recommends it to people who are looking for that perfect white but don't know where to start. Hope this helps.

I ended up choosing SW Pearly White. it is a creamy white in the sun and a very light greige on cloudy winter days. I am looking for photos (it is our summer house) I will post as soon as I find a photo from last summer. Seapearl was recommanded to me by 2 paint store when I was looking. Our entire interior was painted BM Swiss Coffee at 50% (making it a bit lighter). It is a really nice creamy white without too much yellow due to only 50% tinted.

Asking others who are more familiar with the area - is it a good idea to have a roof that dark in the FL climate? To me it seems like it would hold heat.

It’s pretty common down here to have a dark roof, especially on new builds.

Paint it all the same color. It will be better for proportion sake. In other words, I see no value in highlighting the band; all it does is make the house look shorter.

Kind of the same way ankle length pants are better than Capri if you're on the short side.

Your house can't wear Capris.
