You have a lovely room, very neutral. I love the idea of a cowhide in the sitting area and something textural, like flokati in the sectional area. Agree to stay away from grey, but any other neutral color would look great. I also like many of your choices, but would probably stay on the lighter side vs dark. Where are windows in the room?

What a great space! I would suggest a moderately busy transitional pattern in lighter colors or a slightly bolder colored rug as a statement piece. We have a great selection you should check out!

If you can keep it clean, something in a cream / nearly white might help disguise the slight disconnect between the wall and tile colors. If that sounds boring, something with a texture can liven it up. See below listing picture from my former house. I think I got that rug on Overstock but it was a couple years ago. I had a big, aging dog and it has been subjected to muddy shoes (not mine) but it still looks great. I keep a can of carpet cleaner on hand. (That one is 8x10 - looks undersized because of weird camera angle.) If you're worried about keeping it clean, you could check Ruggable. I have a few from them now, and when I move I think they'll be easy to move because they're lighter than typical rugs.
