I find both ways (running Kerdi through a corner or using strips of Kerdi or Kerdi Band) equally easy. I showed both methods in that Kerdi Shower thread, often times what I use depend on the layout and where the seams will fall. For this 36" by 65" shower, vertical will work. the Kerdi is 1 meter wide, about 39-1/2" or so. On your long wall, 65" divided by 2 is 32-1/2", if you do a 2" overlap in the middle of that long wall that leaves you with an extra 5" of Kerdi to run through each corner. Or a little more overlap (3") in the center will net you a little less running through the corner (4"). I buy through tile-experts.com and tileprotection.com For the wacky neo-angle corner, wrap the material over on itself as tight as you can and if you're really concerned, put a dab of Kerdi Fix on it. Use a pair of scissors and a piece of paper to get a size, cut locations, and folds that will work, then transfer that to a piece of Kerdi. For the corner pieces you want for your bench, if you're using a Kerdi Drain, often times a few corner pieces are included in the drain package. Ask your seller. Some sellers have been known to remove the corner pieces and resell them separately. Mongo

I used Scherr's. It's been two years. I'm still delighted. I want to do another kitchen. That's kind of sick, I know. I did want to comment about the assembly process. Each manufacturer uses a different assembly technique. While I can only speak to the Scherr's process, I have to say it is one stout cabinet. They don't use clips as illustrated above. I think they are much more solid that some of the standard custom cabinets I have used in the past. The bottom line is each company stands on their own merits. I like Scherr's because of the quality of the product, they are manufactured in North Dakota and the outstanding customer service. If you have a problem, you get a real person to help solve it. I have read numerous posts that indicated Barker's produces a good product. Their customer service is involves a lot of email. I like the telephone method myself. Conestoga is another domestic manufacturer of RTA frameless cabinets. With these companies, you can be assured the materials meet acceptable health standards, too.

I didn't see all these posts last year. I'm starting to check ebay this year but it's too early so far. Anyway our weather ( NC foothills) is likely to be too cold for awhile yet. We have had some temps in the low 70's in January this year. Last year I bought one plant from plantmaniac on ebay and three from the Violet Barn. All bloomed almost nonstop all summer and fall. I'm overwintering them without lights indoors. I take them outside whenever I can . I was surprised how big the blooms were last year. They were very showy. I registered with Etsy and bought about 10 clematis plants, so will be checking there for plants this spring. I don't need a whole lot of them but maybe a few more colors. I have some gloxinia seed from Geo seed . What I planted a couple of years ago didn't germinate. Will try again , in case the seed is still good.
